emoticon My suggestion to all newbies is to
1. start out with the introductory program which can be found on the learn section at the top of each page
2.the other step would be to set up a sparkpeople page it gets you thinking about what you want. www.sparkpeople.com/resource

In November 2016 I had a health scare and I became serious about losing weight. I joined weight watchers and 7 months later I was 28 pounds lighter and went from a size 12 to a size 6. Iím glad I made the change. Recently I had my gall bladder removed and Iím fighting my weight again. Iím hoping as I become more active again my weight will go back to what felt good. Also, Iím 59 years old. My sleep has recently become better after the doctor put me on anxiety medicine.

Hi, I joined Sparkpeople today. I don't really know what I am doing yet. I have been overweight most of my life. I have several health problems and I want to make a change. I hope this will help me reach my goals. I have 2 sons age 25 and 18. My 25 year old is in the Navy and my 18 year old is away at college. I am adjusting to being an empty nester and know it is time I focused on my health (way past time!) My husband needs to lose weight as well. He is starting to have health problems also that losing weight would truly improve. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I really want to be successful. Thank you!
