One of the benefits (?!?) of MY Silent GERD was having an endoscopy and having them find that I had the pre-cancerous lesions called Barrett's Esophagus. Why are you not taking the perscription medicine the doctor ordered?

Have you had an endoscopy? I hope you are aware that when esophageal cancer is diagnosed, a cure is rare. You need to have regular 'scopes and take the medicine!

I was lucky, I guess, I have silent gerd so I never really got "heartburn" but I did wake up one day and could barely breathe and my throat was soar. I got all checked out and the Dr. confirmed it was silent reflux and gave me a RX but I never took it. I've been drinking apple cider vinegar everyday and it works great.

If you are having those symptoms, Go See Your Doctor! It is not something to mess with! When I was first diagnosed with GERD, I also had Barrett's Esophagus, pre-cancerous lesions. If you wait, you might end up with esophageal cancer which has a lousy survival rate!

I generally get a burning feeling from the sternum up to the throat. Occasionally I get the "liquidy acid feel" up in the throat.

Sometime my throat feels like its closing and when i swallow it feels better then comes right back. Its so annoyying cause i feel like the food is coming back up. Also I have a full feeling just below my chest like I overate, when i didn't. What are some of your symptoms.
