Hi Jammor66!
Kristin is totally right! You should look at all the great things you have done for yourself and be proud. You are making positive changes and that is the key. The journey is not an overnight thing. So how to we stay on track or get back on track from day to day? I would say EXACTLY what you are doing. Making goals, making adjustments, and surrounding yourself with positive influences. I consider you guys some of my most positive influences. I have family and friends that I love but their health goals (or lack thereof) can drag me in a totally wrong direction.
So just stick with us and any other positive motivators. It may make a difference for you like it did for me.
And I would TOTALLY encourage you to find a friend and sign up for a 5K mud run. Put it out about 4 months or something like that. Keep in mind that you don't have to kill it. You just need to get to where you can walk 3 miles without compromising your health. (doctor supervision of course, always, everyone) But yeah, look for the shorter runs to get your feed wet (muddy). Tough Mudder and Spartan will be there when you're ready! And then maybe we can all do one together!!!!

Hi Jammor66:) Congratulations on losing those 20 pounds and getting off the other meds. That is wonderful! Sorry to hear about the stress test. Proud of you for taking charge of it. You will be off those meds too:) It was really a doctor's appt that prompted my Spark journey. My cholesterol was going up. Although it wasn't to the point of meds yet, it scared me. It was odd to actually be excited and nervous when I went for my recheck they did go down. My yearly check is coming at the end of the year. I kind of anticipate a change, but hopefully they aren't too bad. Can't wait to hear of the day you conquer a mud run. They are a blast and you can do it!

Hi I am Jammor66. I have been struggling with my weight all my life. I thought I was getting better in the last year by watching what i was eating and exercising (walking and running 5.5 KM) and going from roughly 250 down 20 lbs. To the point I stopped taking my cholesterol, blood pressure and stress med's to stop the swollen legs and laziness. But Monday I failed my stress test at my cardiologist. So now I am on 4 new med's and really on the ball to get my eating (weight) and exercise controlled and get off these things. I have been listening to the podcast for a year and like it.I would love to be able to do a Tough Mudder or Spartan some day.
