Why don't you swing thru the chat thread, Horsey? Would love to have you jump in and add your feedback, altho I think we talk about everything but weight loss. LOL They used to have a chat feature here on sparks but they eliminated it, for some reason, but it was kinda fun back when they offered that. I miss it. But I am sorry you're feeling lonely and I think we can all empathize with that, for real.

Welcome to the team, both of you....I have a granddaughter named Kayla so I'm kinda fond of that name. LOL I saw you posted, Suspreena, you'll have to swing by the paranormal thread and share some of your experiences with us, that would be awesome, and you too, Kayla, if you have anything to share. You know we LOVE hearing about peoples' experiences. I have learned SO much since being a member of this team....I had never heard of half the stuff they talk about in some of these threads, I love this team. LOL Have a good weekend!

While I joined ages ago, it was just a fad at the time. I've moved and put on a lot of weight since then. I'm 42. My daughter is in 8th grade. I was in the army for a bit over 9 years. I'm in the Pittsburgh area.

Welcome to the team, so glad you found us! Feel free to drop into the main chat thread any time, we always love it when people swing thru there and share with us. Also feel free to post about any experiences you've had, you know we'll never turn those down. LOL There are lots of interesting older threads here, too, so hope you'll peruse them and enjoy. It's a nice little team here, altho not nearly as active as we'd like it to be. But welcome to sparks and welcome to the ghosties team, we're very glad to have new members!

Hi! My name is Jenny and I have been interested in the paranormal since I was a teenager and had my first encounter. I live in Virginia and used to "ghost hunt" at some local places with my husband. Stopped doing that, because really creepy stuff started happening to me. My husband thinks I have a "gift" to sense spirits.

I look forward to interacting with everyone here and lose some weight too!

Welcome Ro,

I'm glad you are here. I also believe in Jesus, God and the Holy Spirit. So, why have these things happened to me?

I'm looking forward to hearing more of your experiences. You mentioned smelling aromas. Just last night, I was watching TV and I could smell incense. It only lasted a few seconds, but it was there. Do you have any idea what would cause this?

Anyway, welcome.

Judy

Welcome to the team, Rorosworld, I'm glad you found us, too! I think people who can sense these things are very lucky, really. I always joke that I'm about as 'attuned' as a mud fence and it is essentially true. But I do believe in these things, obviously, or I would not be on this team, right? LOL You ought to drop over to the paranormal thread, Judy and I had a bit of a discussion about demons, etc. over there, I'd be interested to know what you felt about that. I can understand what you mean about the way your family feels. I think most people who were raised in the standard church environment were pretty much told that. What has confused me is all of the reading I've done re: NDE's, etc. Some of them speak of being confronted by really mean and hateful people, but they say that they are people....very few of them ever see what you would think of as an actual 'demon'. ??? But by the same token, most people who are able to see ghosts or entities have also come across other beings who are not people and seem to be something else altogether. My problem is that I read so much, I only end up confusing myself. LOL There really IS such a thing as **too much information**. But I am just fascinated with this stuff and I have this driving need in my head for answers, altho I very rarely find satisfactory ones. It usually just leads to even more questions, really. But welcome to the team and looking forward to hearing more from all of you!

Hi, I guess it is hard for me to understand how your family feels as even my pastor is very understanding when I have told him of my experiences. I don't have the abilities that you have, but I have been able to sense things most of my life.

Sorry to hear of your loss. It is so hard to lose a loved one.

I, too, have had dreams of people and then they have passed. My stories are on the paranormal story thread. I do not know why these dreams come to us. I wish I knew and could help you. Maybe someone in this group can help.

Oh, Ohiomom, I am SO sorry about the loss of your husband. My daughter lost her husband three years ago and she is still struggling with things, it's an awful, awful blow that I would not wish on anyone. I live in Ohio, also, and I will send you my phone number, feel free to call me at any time and if it would help, I am also sure my daughter would be more than willing to speak with you, since you have both been thru such an awful tragedy. Also PLEASE feel free to talk with us in the chat thread here, we will do anything we can to help you. Welcome to the team. Our team member Janie is also a Buckeye, she lives around the Columbus area. God bless and keep you, and I am glad that you found us here.

Hi, new to the team, I am from the Dayton area, so another Ohio Buckeye. I am looking forward to sharing some of my experiences, have been told in the past that I am a sensitive.

I am really in need of talking to someone. I have had several experiences over the years and I could write a long amount here, but right now I really really NEED to talk to someone reguarding the dreams I had of the death of my husband prior to his death. I am suffering something awful just now and it has been a year and a half since he passed.

Welcome, Tarotlady, we are so glad you joined us! That is awesome, the pics you got. What do you think it was? That's too cool, doing your thesis on tarot cards, what's your take on those? I know, I know....too many questions, sorry. I am always and forever picking peoples' brains. It's a character flaw. LOL Can't wait to hear everyone's stories, tho! I'll bet you have some goodies, after doing some investigations, I'd think that would be really exciting, how did you happen to get into that? Congrats on such a great weight loss, tracking really helps, doesn't it? I do much better when I track my meals and exercise but right now, I have not been the least bit consistent at either, sadly. It's been a helluva summer so far. LOL Welcome aboard, everyone!

WOW, Judy...that is weird!!! Welcome to the group for both of you, I feel so badly for not acknowledging Pinkhollywood, I am so very sorry! I tend to just check out the dates in the main board to see if there has been any new activity on the threads and I totally didn't realize that we had gained a new member in April, so I truly apologize for that, Pinkhollywood, I hope you can forgive us!!

You know, our little team has been so silent for so long, we seriously need some new faces to liven things up and get the conversation going again. It used to be so much more active and I really, really miss that, so I hope both of you will pop in and share with us. We also have a card reader, Angelhealer, who does weekly group readings for the team, and she is also available to do individual readings for you if you would like. Her thread is in the bottom row of threads so please check that out if you get a sec.

But I'm really, really looking forward to hearing about your experiences! That would totally freak me out, having that voice come thru on that tape, Judy! OMG......!! So I hope you can take the time to post in here, and PLEASE feel free to drop into the main chat thread and say hey! We've pretty much been using it to just chit chat about daily stuff, 'cause I think all of the ones who post in there have pretty much exhausted their repertoire of ghostly experiences so we've resorted to just rambling. LOL

But WELCOME, you two....we are deliriously glad to see you!

Hello Everyone,

My name is Judy and just found this group. I have lots of stories to share. I've just been scanning some of your experiences and just about everyone has reminded me of something that has happened to me. I'm going to get a notebook and start writing them down so I won't forget them. This is so exciting.

One time my 2nd husband and I had a tape recorder set up in front of our TV (before VHS) to tape a show while we were gone. When we came back we rewound the tape and played it. On the tape a voice (not from the show) said something very fast. I said to Ray, "What did that say?" A voice on the tape said, "I said (can't remember what exactly), didn't you hear me?" Well, talk about getting hot and cold flashes.

Glad to have found you all. I'm going to be very busy reading all your experiences.

Welcome to the team, Rach, I hope you'll join us in the chat thread, we LOVE to see new faces!! Have you seen any other ghosts in the intervening years, or was that the only one? That would have scared the crap out of me! LOL Hope you have a great week this week and looking forward to hearing more from you in the future!

My name is Rach. I've always believed in spirits; I didn't have to see one to believe it, but I guess one of them thought otherwise. I was 14 when I had my first paranormal experiance living in Joliet Illinois in a house that we were renting from my uncle. I was in the basement where I would just hill out after school and listen to my radio, I was walking towards the stairs after turning everything off; I had a stong urge to turn around and sitting in this black office chair that used to belong to my cousin was a white figure of a woman. I couldn't make out a lot of details but I could tell her hair was up in a bun and she was wearing a dress with puffy shoulders; it looked a bit victorian. She was almost solid, and she just sat there. Being 14 I wasnt sure how to go about it so I did the first thing I could do.... I ran up the stairs screaming and crying that theres a ghost in the basement. My dad claims to not believe in ghost, but my mother is also a believe so she went down to investigate. I could here her mumbling but wasnt sure what she was saying. I think she was trying to make communication with this spirit. Even though she found no traces of a ghost she still believed that I saw what I saw. A few weeks later we had told my cousin what I had saw and she asked my parents if she could take an oija board to see if the spirit was good or melevolent; my skeptic father said no and that the board was never to be in the house.

Looking back I don't think the spirit was trying to frighten me. She just sat on the chair looking at wall with her hands neatly folded in her lap. She didn't move nor look at me. I wonder if she was just a spirit passing though and just had enough energy there to make herself be seen. My mother told me last month that I should have tried to talk to this spirit, however I was 14 and it was my first time seeing a ghost. What I had already believed in, became real. However, it left me a bit terrified of the dark.

Welcome to the team, Vana! So glad you decided to join us, and please feel free to stop into the main chat thread with everyone, too. Thanx for sharing this story with us, that's really neat. I wonder who the kindly old gent was? Would be interesting to find that out, wouldn't it? Hope to hear more from you, tho!

Hello my name is Vana and I do believe in ghosts and spirits and all.

I live in the Beautiful Pacific Northwest and love it here. My husband and I both believe in the nether world. We had a ghost for a while at our other home. It was kind of strange that first night there.

We had just gone to bed.. my husband had already drifted off to sleep and was gently snoring in my ear. I closed my eyes and suddenly my husband jerked just as I opened my eyes and I saw a man leaning over me in a red plaid shirt. My husband sat up straight and said he thought he saw or dreamt that he saw some guy standing over me in a red plaid shirt. We never felt threatened by him. He just seemed interested in us. Like he loved the fact that we were so in love and slept so close together. My husband loves to wrap his arms around me when we go to sleep. He feels he is keeping me safe and sharing how much he loves me.

The spirit was an older gentleman who had a kind face. I actually felt safe with him there. But after moving all our stuff there and my ex bring some stuff over, we think a nasty entity came from an older place that I had live in. One who scared the hell out of me apparently came with my stuff to the house and he (the kindly gentleman) came to my husband one night in his dreams and asked him why she was there now. My husband decided to have his mother do a clearing of the house. Which because of the female entity I was happy to have done. But unfortunately it got rid of him as well. I felt so sorry for sending him away. I never felt the same at that house after that.

This female entity was attached to the house that I shared with my now ex. She would slap the beds while you were sitting on them. She knocked stuff off of walls and shelves on a regular basis as you were standing there. I often had things go missing and then find them in the middle of the room. I could barely sleep there in my room that I moved to in the garage when we first separated. She haunted me and taunted me terribly.

At our new home here in the country we have no spirits and I wish we had the kindly gentleman back with us. I think he would have loved this home too. We see bison out our front window and the hills covered in beautiful green trees and can smell the Puget Sound from here. We have hang gliders on clear days gliding off the mountains that we face. It is like I have a living picture in my front room. The eagles play in the trees near our home again out front in the spring and summer. The Trumpeter swans flying by in the winter. It is so full of nature and we do have a very large bunny that lives in our yard somewhere and comes around often. I grow plants for him to nibble on freely.

We love watching Ghost Hunters and Ghost Chasers as often as we can catch them on.

I believe that if you believe in spirits and ghosts then you have to believe in faeries as well. Faeries are not all sweet and kind spirits as well. Some can be pretty nasty, But I invite them all to come and play in my gardens!!

Vana

Hey everyone - my name is Sharyl and I am new to this group - not new to spark or new to dieting but restarting fresh this week after a hiatus. I will post more of my story on the other part of the boards but in the mean time I am interested in ghosts - and ghost hunting - my friend and I do a little with very limited equipment but we enjoy it and have caught a few things. Very excited to see this group here.

Hello, Some of you might recognize my name from last year or so. I have been pushing my self with the studies and not with walking and it shows, Can't wear the 27 pair of size 6's that I could fit into 2 years ago. It is sad and frustrating and I have to get it into my head that if I did lose the 75 pounds last time, this 35 should be easy...do you agree??

Welcome to the team, PJ, always glad to see someone join up! Waiting with bated breath to hear your stories!!! It's been so long since anyone posted anything in the paranormal thread, I've kinda gotten out of the habit of checking it, I'm ashamed to say. Hope you have an awesome week and feel free to join in the chat thread, the more, the merrier!

Hi! I just wanted to stop in and introduce myself! My name is Pamela, and I am excited that I found this spark team! I am very interested in all things paranormal. I have had quite a few experiences myself, my first one happening when I just a child, but the most unforgettable one happening when I was 15, that truly opened my eyes to whole new world. I plan on getting my paranormal story out in the proper forum when I have the chance. I just wanted to say HI! and I look forward to getting to know everyone!! :)

Nope, never seen a flippin' thing! LOL How about you? If you go to Hyacinthbucket's spark page, she has a pic posted of an apparition that my daughter got a picture of on a trip to the Buxton Inn last summer. I was standing behind my daughter when she snapped the pic, and the only thing displayed on her screen was a picture of the fountain that she was trying to get.....but the picture came out as something a whole lot different.

Hello everybody.

What can I say except that if it involves the paranormal or metaphysical then this is where I belong.
Glad to be a part of your team.

That's pretty cool that you got that book, tho. It's kinda neat to find out the histories of places where you live. I picked up a book that sounds similar to what you got, about my own locale, and had no clue there were so many places that were considered haunted. Are you going to visit more of the places, now that you know their reputations?

LOL, I know what you mean about chat rooms, when I first got a computer, I tried looking at some and never participated for just that reason. Our main conversation thread just kinda moves at a meandering pace, there are only a few of us who comment routinely, tho, so it has a way of kinda dwindling when nobody else jumps in. I think there are only about 4 or 5 of us who have been posting in there regularly, sometimes less. But hope you guys will enjoy reading back thru the threads, there are a bunch of them, aren't there??
