I like to try out new routines and the SP workouts allow variety and flexibility. Find a few different workouts that you like and challenges you on different levels and it will keep you from falling into a rut as you build consistency.

You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face.

Mistakes are the portals of discovery.

Don't be afraid to give your best at what seemingly are small jobs. Every time you conquer one it makes you that much stronger. If you do the little jobs well, the big ones will tend to take care of themselves.

It is never too late to be what you might have been.

Thank you so much, I too have been find classes for myself. I now take Yoga and Zumba classes. It was actually my daughter who turned me on the Zumba. Good luck to you and thanks again!

emoticon I'm also a single mom, whose been back and forth, on SparkPeople. Right now, I'm involving myself in activities, just for me. It sounds selfish, but every time I come home from an exercise class, my kids are all smiles. emoticon

Hi All,

I am restarting my journey and would love to here what is working for other New Yorker's out there. I am a 42 year old single mom with an 11 year old daughter. I want to be healthy for myself and her. Last time I was active on spark people I lost 45 pounds. I hope that some of you can lead me to challenge and push myself. emoticon

Goal:
