Do consider creating a SparkPage and while in the 'edit' mode also make it public so that others can see your page AND leave supporive/helpful comments on it. The SparkDiet, which is NOT 'a' diet at all!, is a fantastic guide leading us gently into makng all sorts of good changes; hope you will take the time to do all the readings and really give thought to them... especially when you find yourself thinking, "oh, I know THAT" and wanting to skip! Our most ingrained bad habits are right there in the very things we don't realize we do habitually rather than 'occasionally'!

Don't be afraid to give your best at what seemingly are small jobs. Every time you conquer one it makes you that much stronger. If you do the little jobs well, the big ones will tend to take care of themselves.

It is never too late to be what you might have been.

Hi,

I live in Rochester and am eager, as I'm sure is everyone, for Spring to arrive! I just finished my first week of SparkPeople, during which I focused on getting and learning to stay motivated. I am feeling really hopeful heading into the diet and exercise portions of the program. I have a cast for a broken foot, but am not going to let that stop me from increasing my activity level. :)

I look forward to sharing this journey with you!
