emoticon BRYANG2 and emoticon to SparkPeople and the team...Nice to have you with us on the journey to a healthier lifestyle.

You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face.

Mistakes are the portals of discovery.

Don't be afraid to give your best at what seemingly are small jobs. Every time you conquer one it makes you that much stronger. If you do the little jobs well, the big ones will tend to take care of themselves.

It is never too late to be what you might have been.

Welcome, Bryang2!

As Don wrote: track EVERYthing. DO IT WHICHEVER WAY WORKS FOR YOU NOW. The Nutrition tracker may take you a while to get used to using since you're not a computer geek yet, so if you find it time-consuming while adjsting to the site, do it on paper too for now.

There are advantages to first logging EVERYthing you eat/drink onto paper, preferably an inexpensive notebook, because you can simply jot things down right away; you can later go to the SP tracker to put the information in as you adjust to using the computer for many things.

In the right column of this page, scroll down to the section for "Quick Links". One of them is for the "Getting Started Guide". If you haven't yet read through this, you'll benefit by reading through it now. Among other things there is something that can be invaluable to letting others better support you: links to help you create a SparkPage. (You can also do this by selecting the Quick Link called "My Spark Page", selecting 'edit my page' and creating/saving the page.) When creating your SparkPage, do UNcheck selections in the topmost section that would make your page private or viewable to only friends or offline. DO allow others to make comments, too. People can better help you if you do these things.

If I can be of any help, please just click the words under my username to send me a SparkMail aka private message. Let's get you started, because you have wonderful discoveries just awaiting you!

ENJOY the journey!

Hey there Bryan! Welcome to our SparkFamily!

I'm a 100+ pound big loser and there are LOTS of us around here! Check out different SparkTeams and SparkPages and blogs for ideas and inspirations.

Top #1 tip I can't recommend highly enough...don't procrastinate on this like I did:

Track your food religiously! Get very cozy with the SparkPeople Nutrition will be SO pleased with the results!
