emoticon Hi Kathy. I am Michelle. I am a yo-yo dieter as well. This year I decided to live healthier. Not do the "diet thing" and so far it seems to be working for me. This is such a great site full of both wonderful information and wonderfully supportive people.

Welcome to SP and the NY Team, Kathy!

Thinking of 'diet' as meaning 'nutrition' rather than crazy-plan-number-308-to-lose-weight is the first plce to start. SP's Getting Started Guide introduces you to tools that will help in the beginning; then, do give full attenton to the "SparkDiet". It is not 'a diet'; instead this group of Stages leads us each to changing ingrained habits; dumping old 'bad' ones and creating healthynew ones. To me the word 'diet' these days means 'my personal plan for nutrition'.

The site is huge, loaded with articles and teams that you can use for resources of information, ideas to tailor to you needs and preferences.... and teams full of caring people. If you should slip, learn the WHY of it... then take the lesson forward as you get back on track.

ENJOY the journey... No more yoyo's!
