Oh, that IS a challenge. But! You can overcome the temptation. Maybe turn your hubby's chef skills into an advantage eventually. When what's cooking for the diners is not what you need as daily fare is part of the weight problems, it's time to dig in and create some solid plans aka strategies! DO consider Don's suggestion to join the local group; from all I've gathered, it is very solid and would be a great assist.

To invite others to support you better, you might want to create your SparkPage... and then make it public. Many little techniques can help you; such as drinking water instead of reaching for food. And more! Absorb the aricles here and use the tools. If you keep a notebook handy at work you can even trac in paper/pen style... every time you even take a nibble of some handy food!

This site is full of discoveries we find out about ourselves as we read, track...and study summaries of what we actually DO by habit. Awareness is the first step toward change.
You can do this!

Hi. I'm in Kirkwood, NY and just joined SP. I'm a 40 yr old married mom of 1. I am in desperate need of weight loss support. My husband is a chef and I am his sous chef. We don't eat healthy at all, its mostly grab and go with us and it shows and I'm tired of it. I get frustrated at my lack of will power when we are at the restaurant. I've tried bringing my meals but I always seem to end up eating things I did not bring. The temptation is insane.

I am hoping with team support and encouragement I can lose the weight. I am also hoping that I can, hopefully, be of some support to others.
