Hi my name is Rena I'm 30 and recently realized I weigh 216 lbs. In Sep of last year I was 188 lbs down from 212 lbs. I felt great and thought I looked pretty good. My confidence was high and felt like I could do anything. But over the last 10 months I have hit some personal struggles in my life. I was diagnosed as having Fibromyalgia ( a chronic pain disorder that at times makes it hard to even move), and my home life started to crumble. I guess eating seemed to dull the pain so I turned to it as comfort during the stressful time in my life. I have had very little energy to do anything and felt like losing weight wasn't important.

Recently however I have come to the realization that I can lose weight. I can make myself feel better and look better. That the stress in my life doesn't mean I have to turn to food to ease the ache. It just means I have to find a diffrent way to cope with the stress.

Recently I read an artical online about a woman who turned to sparkpeople. com as a weigh to help lose weight, She said that everytime she felt like eating something not health, more then she should, or giving up completely she would log onto Sparkpeople.com and someone would help talk about her feelings and give her the encouragement she needed to achieve her goals. After reading this I decided to try sparkpeople.com and hope that I have the same type of experience she does because without support and encouragment I am not sure I can handle this weightloss goal on my own.

My main problem with setting personal goals right now is that i just started I working a 13 hour 7pm to 8am full time job 3 days a week. so my sleeping patterns haven't been the best lately as I try to adjust to the change.
