My post was almost exactly like Jen's. I have been with Sparkpeople for the last 5 or so years maybe more come and go regularly. Very happy with the purchase of my Spark Activity Tracker. I like that it can determine between a walking workout and a cycling workout. I also prepared myself for my return on New Year's Day. I lost 10 pounds in the first three weeks and have stalled out since hoping to start losing again soon. I dislike the scale staying the same. :)
Happy Friday everyone have a great day!

My name is Jen and I am a returning spark person. I decided as a new years resolution (big surprise huh) to come back. This time I am more determined and focused. I ordered my spark tracker and love seeing my total steps and calorie activities. It is a great motivator. I have recommended this to several people already.

Keep moving everyone and have fun.

My name is Barb, and I just unboxed my tracker. I had 'another brand' and lost it on an amtrak trip :( I am confused about a couple of things...

Does it sync via blue tooth with my phone like my other one did?
Top place to wear???

Thanks. I am a TBI survivor, and change is ROUGH. But the idea that this one is totally waterproof was great (I drop stuff!) and I figured I am trying hard after an absence from SPARK to get back at it, so this is a good excuse. I found I was averaging 10000 steps a day easily, so may UP that a bit.

Thanks!

All the best,
Barb G

Wow TLB--You are an inspiration. My SPAT is set for 6,000 steps and although I usually get that many, I don't every day. I would live to do 10,000 steps but that is going to have to wait until the weather here is warmer and it is not so icy outside. Keep up the good work.

First off emoticon emoticon And I can't say that enough!!!

I bit the proverbial bullet per say at the cost of $60, which for what it really is was a bit on the HIGH emoticon side. But I had a gift card from Amazon and purchase points so all in all it only cost me about $9 - out of pocket - emoticon I myself would never have spent $60 on this but still I'm sooooo glad I have it!

This little gadget, although bit pricey was been my activity buddy I have always wanted. It really got me off the COUCH and has gotten my BUTT moving!!! emoticon emoticon And if this little gadget can do what it's accomplished in me --- well emoticon SPARKPEOPLE!!

I began by pushing myself to SPARK 10 minutes, which turned into a few 10 minute SPARKS a day, which turned into getting a GLOW GETTER AWARD for 10,000+ steps in a day, which now has turned into a mission to see how many GLOW GETTER AWARDS I can accumulate this year of 2014.

I'm proud to brag that I have 27 for 27 and it has NOT been easy. But each and every day is a BRAND NEW DAY and I tell my self that I'm on a roll here... just have to get another one today...and I DO NOT THINK of tomorrow - only to get one TODAY!!! And well, this has worked soo far for me but have to admit this is beginning to get "OLD"! And I know that I will NOT be able to keep this pace up so now I'm needing to change things up. I'm beginning to look into the future, into February and think of another "monthly / 28 day" goal I can set for myself that's do-able for ME! Wish me luck... emoticon

Hi I'm Cheryl, I bought the tracker last week. I was bummed out to find it didn't credit me for 10 min of cardio when I use a step device in my home or when I ran stairs in my apt complex. Maybe I didn't really do 10 min like I thought I did. I did an impressive amt of steps on that day. So that's cool. I also found I walk about 1.5 miles at work. I haven't tried it yet on the elliptical b/c I can't find the key to the apt gym! Ugh, so many reasons that stop me from exercising. I'm going to go for a long walk now and I tried to sync it before I left so I could get an accurate count. So I guess so far I like that it's giving me more numbers of motivation for my exericse.

Life is what you make of it.

Hi Diani, your full conversation other than the knee surgery could have been written by myself.
I bought my spark tracker in the end of Dec. it is a part of my body, I'd wear it in the shower if I were able. It keeps me inspired.

Hi, I'm Diane from Ottawa, Canada.

I purchased my SAT in September. Totally addicted to it and the benefits I continually strive to achieve ...... awaiting knee surgery has limited my ability to get a lot of gym time ...... however with the SAT I strive to walk on the spot 10 at a time a least 6 times a day ..... my tracker's clipped on my underwear first thing and last thing daily. It's always on my mind as to how many steps I can work into every daily boring household activity lol.

Hubby's noticed the renewed mood elevator and spunkiness emoticon ..... purchasing one for him today....... "the competition's on emoticon "

Let the game's begin!

Diane

P.S. Thank you SAT ..... I wuv you

My name is Tas and I received mine on Tuesday. I've been wearing it non-stop since, just transferring it from shoe to shoe. I love that I have so much motivation to keep wearing it, in the form of immediate feedback and rewards. I love it so much, that I was telling one of my work buddies that I'm thinking of ditching the car to go grocery shopping and will take my shopping cart!

Hi my name is Sandy and I just got my tracker tonight when I got home from work. So I wii danced with my daughter for 50 minutes it said I only worked out for 6 minutes and burned only 22 calories. I think my tracker is off because I was getting 5 starts on Wii dance for keeping in step.

Hi everyone: I am Eileen and have had my activity tracker for less than a week. I love it for the simplicity of setting it up and the ease with which it tracks all my information. I am barely computer literate so these factors make a difference to me. I also find myself adding steps when I can to see how many I can get for the day.

Hi everyone, I am JoAnna. First day with my tracker. Just a normal day at home with a kickboxing workout. I have to start somewhere, I guess. I will be motivated when my activity is right in my fave on my clothes or shoe.

As we walk though this garden, that some call life there are many paths and ways to go. There is always someone there to help you along the way some may force you down their path or help you find your own. No matter what path you take there is a key in the garden. You must find it to survive!

The tracker arrived today, I like it's size. It set up easily. I am excited to see if I move more, knowing I'm tracking?

Nice that's a good idea!!! So far, I lower my objectif to 8000 and yesterday, even if I walked almost double what I usually walk, I only was at 6000!!!

Hi,

I'm Maryann. I've only been using my sparktracker a couple of days. So far it's definitely made me remember to move more. Now I'm basically walking in place as I do dishes, etc. LOL. It's fun.

Hi everyone, just bought a Spark tracker and stepped on the treadmill for 45 minutes. Everything was downloaded, except the steps and the miles. Does anyone have the same problem or am I doing something wrong, or not doing? Anyways, its exciting to track down calories, time, miles and steps without having to do the input manually.

Don't let what you can't do get in the way of what you can.

Hi Everyone! My name is Kim and I just set up my Spark Activity Tracker today. How fun! I love challenging myself on how many steps I get in a 24 hour period. I do a lot of yoga, so I'm guessing I'll still have to track that one manually, but I am so eager to beat my daily steps challenge! Good luck everyone! Looking forward to reading about your progress!

Wow! The Spark Activity Tracker is wonderful. I received it day before yesterday and set it up easily. I am amazed at how it tracks all types of movement throughout the day. As I am in my 70's, I really felt I needed motivation to get back on track and hope this will keep me accountable. I walked our large mall today and met my steps goal quickly. I read reviews saying people had lost theirs with it on their shoe. I wear socks in the winter and decided to clip it at the top and on the inside of the sock. Just a little extra protection from losing it. I am really encouraged with this terrific little tracker and love how it syncs for me.

Yeah! I got my SPAT today! I used it while doing elliptical and the tracking seems accurate, even if I had to reclassify it, the time is right.
I'll wearing at my belt during the day because my dress shoes won't do the trick but I'm putting in on my shoe laces for my workout!
