WOW to see my post from back in 2010. Here I am back again and wanting to lose weight for the World Scout Jamboree and get back into shape. Also have issues with sciatica nerve that makes my mobility a bit troublesome at time.

(I don't like being limited in any way as its enough just being deaf and missing things in meetings through tele-calls. Did they have to invent that thing? I know the pros to busy Scouters but comes out as a huge con to me.)

Wondering how I put it on, less outing in Scouting and more sitting at the computer. Time to get back active again!

By the way... here is my blog for today and how a posted picture of me at University of Scouting had me doing a double take. Ugh... on how the camera never lies.

JC... emoticon to the Scouters team

Love hearing about your doctor had a weight loss program running out of his office. That is unusual and glad to see a 'doctor' doing that.

I've been here a little over a month and have struggled too with diets. Curves was my last successful diet and started that the week before I joined here. The last couple weeks have seen a transition taking place for me as I read and learn in Sparkpeople and with emoticon book. (you can buy it at Walmart cheap)

So food for thought for you.. are you on a 'diet' or are you making a 'lifestyle change'? Was your doctor's help a 'diet' or a 'lifestyle change'? Another ways did you lose it all and go back to your old ways before you lost it or did you change some of your behaviors?

This might be a little too much since you're new but think about it please.

I'm excited about all the tools available on this website...
My story is that almost 3 years ago, I lost 97 pounds through a program with my former family physician. He has focused his practice solely on weight loss and runs a fantastic program (surgery and drug free).
I have since (with the help of several lame excuses) managed to gain back about 40+ pounds, and have decided to get back where I was. I've battled weight my whole life but have never had the kind of success I had in recent years. I've already re-lost the first 15 and am determined and excited to get back to my fighting weight (and then some).
Wish me luck!!!!!
