emoticon and good luck. Yes quitting smoking is hard but you have made it this far. Keeping track of your nutrition as a great step in the right direction. I find that he "dessert" flavored chewing gums help me when I just "have to have" something sweet. Maybe this would help for you as well.

Good luck. You can do this.

I haven't had a thyroid for over 20 years. I know it affects darn near everything. But I didn't know a thyroid problem could cause a miscarriage. I'm sorry to hear about that.

Quitting smoking is really tough. I commend you on your efforts with that too.

Hi I'm Meleah :)
I have been trying to be healthier by eating better and exercise. It has been a battle with myself but it is a must. I lost a pregnancy last year because of my thyroid. I was also told I was pre-diabetic. I need to lose the weight and watch my carbs and sugars. I thought I was doing ok until I realized I wasn't losing weight or inches, I was gaining (20 lbs). I quit smoking 166 days ago. I replaced it with snacking. I snack all the time and I have a wicked sweet tooth. I have decided to do the 6 meals a day, each being 230 cal. This way I still snack but feel fuller and I do not go over 1400 calories in a day. Yesterday was the first day, and it went great. I sometimes still feel like I need a cig and then want to eat, but I resisted yesterday. I kept busy which seemed to help. My ultimate goal is for my last and final baby to be. I want to be the healthiest I can possibly be before I become pregnant. I know I can do this, I mean...I quit smoking, this should be a cake (or carrot) walk!
