Hi My name is carol ann. I am a retired home school teacher, mother of five grown children, with one grandchild on the way. I am 60 years old and I moved to Austin to get away from the cold Chicago Winters and live near my two oldest sons. The other three children are still in Chicago, they have lives and I just have to let them darn it!
We moved to be active all year long and live on our pension, and be in an active young city. We are learning new things and meeting new people. Doc says I need to lose 20-30 pounds, I have blood pressure and cholesterol issues not too bad but they would be better if I loose the weight.
My weight is 168 and I have gained three lbs since moving here!! Eeek! That is not the plan.
I found the spark people after watching Dr Oz. I am working on the food tracker, and exercise tracker, I like them but I don't like yoghurt or cottage cheese anyone know how to cancel a food permanently.
I don't run but I walk a lot right now my goal is to stop gaining and start loosing! Then I would like to keep loosing and get to 148 this year.
I would love and encouragement partner, who is experienced with the spark website and has lost weight here and used the exercise to get healthy.
That is my real goal to eat healthy, get active and enjoy the nest 40 years with my family and grandchildren and still be active in my 80;s and 90's and beyond!!! Like my mother in law!
who is 89 this year and still walks 2 miles a day!
