Hey SweetAngel,

I am also looking for a accountability partner. I'm 22 years old and a student in nursing school. I am currently 240 and looking to get down to 150. I've been at a healthy weight in the past, but had a terrible past 5 years, which is when I gained most of the weight. I'm hoping to find an accountability partner that is around the same age as me with similar goals. Even though you have much less weight to lose than I do, I think we have similar goals because we are both interested in health careers.

Hello, all. My name is Mary and I live in Minnesota. I have been in and out of Sparkpeople for a few years, but really feel its time to get busy and be accountable. I lost 40 pounds on Weight Watchers about 4 years ago and then stalled. A year ago, my husband and I decided to work on this together. He lost 83 pounds, I lost an additional 20, then stalled again. Now, I want to get this done. I have 33 pounds to lose to get to my goal. I want to make this a life style change. About me: I'm 53, I work full time as a psychotherapist and have a small private practice. I have 2 grown kids and 2 grandkids. I have some chronic pain issues, but that is not going to slow me down. I would really like to work with an accountability partner, and be a support as well.

Hi everyone. Married mom of 3 just starting over here at spark. New to the team. Having lots of financial trouble which is grossly effecting my weight loss journey. Could really use someone to touch base with and someone to help along.

Update: I have found not one but two great partners. Thank you for the support. I look forward to working with both of you.

Hi everyone

I'm a 24 year old girl that goes to school and works. I'm trying to get my AA in Psychology/Health and transfer after that. I'm looking to go from the 193lbs i'm at to 140 by June 2014. I'm 5'7 so my BMI is not happy. But i'm looking to find someone that will keep motivating me. My fiance lets me know i'm beautiful, but I need someone to keep telling me to get moving and to not be lazy. I'll be more active on here as best as I can, but I check in as often as I have internet when i'm away from home. If anyone's interested please message me.

Hi everyone,
I am a 45 year old single mom. During the day I am a reading specialist in a high needs school, by night a graduate student. I have always been on the chunky side and really want this time to be different than the other failed attempts. Being the only one in the house that struggles with weight is hard. I try to balance my needs with what makes my boys (my son and his friend who rents a spare bedroom)happy and know that I will give eventually. I would love an accountability partner to keep me on track. I have over 100 pounds to lose. Let me know if you are interested.

Hi everyone.

I had an accountability partner, but she hasn't written back to me in 8 days now =(

I'm worried about her, but I also need to worry about myself here.

Writing to her everyday has helped me immensely to remain consistent and push through the hard times. Now she's gone and I need someone else to help me out!

I currently weigh 158.6, I have lost 11 pounds and almost 2% body fat in the last 2 months. I go for a morning run every morning and do strength training in the evenings. I am trying to get down to 130-140 lbs and 20% body fat.

I was really used to my old partner =( she knew me and grew with me the last 2 months and I don't think anyone else can replace her...

But if you would like to be accountability partners, please let me know.

-Krystal

Hi, I am 50 years old, married with 3 children (2 grown, 1 still at home), work full time (9-5), live in IL.

Six and a half years ago I quit smoking... gained 40 lbs, then a couple years later I gained another 35... yep, total of 75 lbs!!! Havent lost it yet!
And to make matters worse (for the weight aspect of things) I went from an active job to a desk job back in 2004.

I started SP about 3 weeks ago, and I LOVE it so far!
I'm doing pretty good sticking to the fitness/activity part of my goal, but I'm not doing well at all with the food/diet part of it, not at all.

I'm really counting on (need it) my journey this time to finally be successful !!

For fitness/activity .... I love walking, biking, golf, and yoga... and just a week ago,
I started exercising with weights again (haven't done that in a couple decades!!).

I just joined this team today, so I'm not familiar with how it works but I'm assuming you get a partner(s) and be accountable to them??
If anyone would like to be my partner...and fill me in on how this works ;-) - please let me know.
Thanks!

Hi- I am a 62 y/o female with grown married sons. My goal is to lose 85 pounds or more. I am on here every day and would like to have a Partner who is on daily and will fully participate. At least one message a day to help each other is a good start. I don't have any pets, but love dogs. Don't have any grandchildren...yet...but am hoping someday I will. I enjoy sewing, making my own items as special gifts or for decoration. I will be here for you if you are here for me. Drop me a note or answer on here. I am also a published writer.

Hi! I am a 36 year old stay at home wife. I don't have any kids but love my three dogs. I am starting over on my weight loss journey again and would be very happy to lose 99 pounds. Since its such a large ultimate goal, I'm concentrating on smaller 5% goals in smaller time frames. I get discouraged and frustrated easily and need frequent reminders and encouragement. I love to garden, especially vegetables. I am always planting something new. Other interests include photography, reading and scrapbooking new adventures.

If interested, message me!

I'm Tiffany... I'm 30 years old, English teacher and new to SparkPeople. I've been trying on and off to lose weight and I'm recommitting. I'm 208 and I set a small goal of 175. From there I can set another goal; I'm just trying to be realistic and that would get me well out of my "obesity" range BMI.

I really enjoy working out (brisk walks with the dog, cardio kickboxing, zumba, hiking, etc.), and my problem lies with my eating habits. I love sweets and I snack too much. I have generalized anxiety disorder and I tend to go to food for idealized relief (really, it doesn't fix anything).

My doc says I have a "survivor gene" and therefore will lose weight slowly and will need to stick with it... hence, a need for an accountability partner to help keep me motivated!

If I sound like a good fit for you, shoot me a message! :)

45 year old male seeking workout/clean eating partner.

sounds like an intro to a dating post doesn't it?

I am in a quest to get ride of 40 to 50 lbs, i will like to get back to running as in my young years. Lifting weights but not to bulk up, just want to be lean and see my abs! I do have a kettlebell and plan on using it to get in shape as well. Got a mountain bike collecting dust in the garage. I live in the dessert so lots of places to go hiking.
My biggest problem is my drinking, 3-4 drinks every night, I don't get drunk but this causes me to eat all the time I am drinking. Last night was different, went to the gym and came back to shower and dinner with the family, no rum and didn't over eat. I need lots of nights like that.

So if anyone would like to partner up with me please hit me up.
thanks

Hello, Amberlin1975,
If you haven't already got a partner, I'd be happy to join your journey.
I'm 29, married to the greatest man ever, and we have a ten year old boy together. I'm a writer currently at home, but looking to pick up some outside the house work when Ridley goes back to school in a couple weeks here. I just finished writing my first novel, a sci-fi adventure novel.
I have a whopping 88 pounds still to lose. Right now, I'm in the early stages, so I get my exercise walking the dog every day and during family camping trips. I love to go fishing, swimming, reading, writing (of course). hiking, cooking (I'm a dangerously good baker), and playing RPG (I'm a dork, as well.)
My goal is to get below my first-date weight of 135 pounds so I can look better in my thirties than I did when my honey chose me. To show how amazing he is, he married me at my top weight, 90 pounds above how he met me. I also want to run a 10K (can't run at all now), ride my bike a full marathon, and do a pull up.
My pitfalls are late-night cravings and emotional eating. I also tend to get "stuck" behind the computer and forget to walk the dog.
If that sounds like a good fit for you, let me know via messaging or through my Sparkpage.

Hello Bwooters,
You have to tell me about your screen name. I'm a 29 year old writer, currently working from home, but as I've just finished my first novel, I'm looking to get an outside-the-house job when my ten year old son goes back to school in a couple weeks. I'm married, one child, one dog, and one cat.

That really caught my eye on your post.

Hi! I am Corinne and I am 24 years old. I work a typical desk job and have ~40 more pounds to lose. I am looking for a partner who can trade workout tips, motivational tips, recipes, etc.

I am a new runner, trying to get into a good habit with it. I also do some strength training exercises that my DH creates, as he really likes that stuff. I like to eat a ton of vegetables, but I get pretty lazy in tracking my meals because it feels like it gets so complicated - I rarely follow recipes when I cook so trying to remember what I put into my dinner becomes tough.

My biggest challenge is sweets! I get these sweets cravings, mostly for chocolate and ice cream.

Anyway, I could use a partner with similar goals/challenges/etc so let me know if you want to work together! emoticon

Anyone looking for accountability partner, look me up. I have had several and they all just quit or don't stay in touch with me. I'm willing to have anyone who can help be be accountable and I can do the same. Just message me and we can figure out the details.

Hi Everyone,

My name is Theresa and I am 32 years old, married and mother of a 17 mth old girl. I live in Ontario, Canada. I am an elementary school teacher so I'm off for a couple more weeks before school starts up again. I gained a lot of weight with my pregnancy and haven't been motivated to do anything about it until now. I'm still 45 lbs heavier then before getting pregnant and I was overweight then. My long-term goal is to lose 65 lbs which would bring me from 215lbs down to a healthy 150 lbs. I am 5'6 so this is the high end of the BMI for me. The lowest I've been since high school is 163 lbs. I was running regularly then but was sidelined due to injury. I would love to run again if I can. Right now walking winds me so I need to start being more active first.

I'm looking for someone that I have things in common with. Let me know if you think we might make good partners.

Thank You

Hello everyone! My name is Jenny. I'm in my early 50s and starting over in my career and also in my health. I used to be in shape, but things went downhill for me after a really bad broken ankle (3 days in hospital, long recovery time, etc) followed by health issues and career problems off and on for the last ten years. I kept trying to get back in shape and eat right, but instead I keep gaining weight and getting more out of shape. I miss being active, and feeling strong and confident. I used to enjoy working out and eating right, but now it is a struggle. I'd love to be in a team where we can motivate each other and celebrate our successes and work through the challenges. On a personal note, I live with my boyfriend, no kids (altho the BF has two awesome grown kids), we have two cats and I enjoy gardening, photography and writing. emoticon

Hi, my name is Tina. I'm 43 years old and live in northern Illinois. I have 3 children ages 22, 20, and 19. I recently quit smoking and have found that even though I am using an electronic cigarette, I have gained weight since stopping actually smoking. Last year I lost about 30 pounds and was down to 135-140, now I am almost 170. I decided that something needed to be done and I really need motivation. I am happily married and have been for 21 years, and I would really like to get back to the weight I was when we got married.

Just looking for a partner to help me.

Thanks Tina emoticon

Hi! I'm Aimee, 29, married, no kids, 4 fur-babies. I have lost 10 pounds since restarting Spark in March and have another 48 to go (but only 3 until my first short term goal!). I started Zumba 3 times / week in March and started tracking nutrition 3 weeks ago. I would like a partner, hopefully someone with similar goals.

UPDATE: Found a partner.

Hello everyone. My name is Dawn. I am 45 yrs old, married with a 10 yr old daughter. I need to lose more than 100 lbs. I am tired of being trapped in this body and not being able to go out and enjoy activities with my daughter. My health is seriously affected by my weight. Doing just the littlest things are now impossible for me. I lose motivation quickly and would love someone to be accountable to.

Hi! I'm 54 and live in the AZ desert. I need to lose about 100 pounds and have just started sparkpeople 2 weeks ago. I have been walking on my treadmill at least 30 minutes a day and tracking my food. So far I've lost about 5 pounds so that is encouraging. I'd love to have a partner to keep me encouraged and I'd be happy to do the same for them.

I used to be accountant but I'm not working any more. I have 2 college aged sons and a frequently traveling husband. Also, Yoda our cat who likes to watch me treadmill lives here. My hobbies are genealogy, photography, traveling, and reading.

I am looking for an accountability partner that is patient in me responding back. and understand if I sound harsh. recently I have started to have not so good days. Between my father in laws condition and general stress of handling a household and not getting the rest I need I am jut a bit snappy. I try to get on the computer every day to do sparkpeople and facebook. I am wanting to loose 100 to 110 lbs. As of right now I stuck between 312 and 307, I cant seem to get lower. I am a Christian and having someone of like faith is good, but not reguired. I only want positivity NO negative. Thank you so much for taking a moment to read this. Have a great day

For those of you who are still looking for an accountability partner, please don't hesitate to contact me. I have been with the Partnership Accountability Team for a few weeks now and will be happy to help motivate you along the way. Please keep in mind that more than only accountability partner is a GREAT thing and will help not only motivate you, but encourage you to be accountable for your food intake and daily exercise.

A bit about me...I've been on SP since Jun 14, 2013 and in that time I've managed to lose 34lbs. My husband and I live in Italy, where we both work for the Department of Defense. I'm a HS English teacher on a military base. I've had the summer off and will start back to work next week. I have a tremendous amount of weight left to lose on this journey of mine, but I don't let that get me down. I know that I didn't put the weight on overnight, so it's not coming off overnight. Although, it would be nice to wave a magic wand. I love to walk and tend to walk between 8-10 miles a day, sometimes more.

I wish you all the best of luck, and, again, if you haven't found a partner yet, please feel free to message me...I've found the more partners, the better!

Hey I am Torsha,20 year old engineering student who was leading a pretty sedentary life till Spark happened. Long story cut short,I have lost 11 pounds and have about 110 pounds to lose. I would love a partner who has similar goals of a steady and healthy weight loss.

I would like to talk about my food and exercise maybe a couple of times a week. Also my appearances on Spark are sporadic(though my weight loss efforts aren't),so I would love it if you are willing to communicate via email/facebook maybe?

Lastly,excellent initiative people

Hi everyone!
I am 41 years old (married, no kids, two dogs and one fluffy cat) and finally decided its time to get serious about losing the 20 pounds that I've put on over the past few years. I've had a chronic illness, so it hasn't been easy to be active, but I'm feeling a lot better this past year. One thing I would love to do is run a 5k. It will be a slow climb, but I'm up for a challenge. Another thing I need to do is cut down on the carbs. I think all of this would be easier with a buddy! Would you like to join me?

Hello! I am 45 yrs old, 5'0 tall and need to lose 35-40 lbs. I have an 11 yr old daughter that is very active. One day I hope to be able to keep up with her! In the past, I looked for quick fixes which meant a lot of yo-yo dieting :(. I love videos like step aerobics and beach body products. Would love to get started in strength training and yoga once I figure out how to begin.

I would be honored if you would like to partner with me! Several partners would be nice too :-) Tough love, challenges and emailing would be great! Together, through constant accountability, we can do this! Hope to hear from you!

Hello my name is Mattison and I am looking to lose 60lbs. I weigh 185 and I want to be 125. I am a 20 year college student and would love a buddy to keep me motivated but I would love to motivate someone else as well because probably just believing in someone else would help me believe in myself!

Hi, my name is Tabatha. I'm 33 and I have one very-soon-to-be 5 year old and incredibly active little man. (I call him Monkey).

I am a full-time working, single mom and I have 130lbs to lose. I had more, but I have lost 30 already and I'm ready to have a partner who will help hold me accountable and fired up to continue on my journey!

Hello! I would love to have an accountability partner. I'm 47, I've lost about 60 pounds since January and have about 77 to go. I have 2 boys who are both out of the house (ages 22 and almost 21). I am an assistant professor; I taught summer school this summer but I'm worried that when my full schedule starts again I'm going to lose the healthy habits I gained over the summer. So I joined SparkPeople last week to give myself that extra push!

Ty for inviting me to join the group...think it is what I need. Im 52 and due to become a grandmother to twins at xmas. My work schedule plays havoc with meals and exercise, though I do try to cycle for every other day and eat a good breakfast (some days its the only meal I get). I walk about a lot at work so not entirely inactive. My goal is too lose 2lb a week but the main thing is to learn to eat healthier, not snack and get more active.

Looking for a partner in crime... I'm Trina, 35, with no children and recently widowed..

I used to be fun loving and energetic, and am trying to find my humor again.

I need to lose around 60lbs to be "ideal" weight, but would be happy losing half that.

If you're in a similar boat, I'd love to partner w/ you - I'm a great motivator, just not for myself - haha!!
