Hi! Everyone! I have been a Spark Peep member for 1 year & 2 days! I have reached my highest goal weight, 51 # released & now I am learning to maintain! This is usually where I get messed up, but with SP I have changed my life! Check out my blog, 1 year Sparkaversary if you want to know more about me!

I have joined this challenge to learn more about veggies. I eat about 7 or 8 servings a day, all ready! This challenge will help me learn to stay at goal OR lower. I'd like to release maybe 5 more #'s. I'm letting my body decide.... except for going up, of course!!!!

Let's have fun together with this challenge, OK?

Hi and welcome to all new people on our team. I must say I was one of those people who never drink water. Since January that is all that I drink and now I am up to 10 to 12 glasses of water a day. So, I can do any one can do it. emoticon

Hi: I'm Kathy from southeastern Ontario (Canada) and have been with the Spark program for some time. I originally lost 20 pounds and regained 15, now have lost 5 and am determined to get down to, and stay at, my happy weight. (wherever that is!)
I have been going to the gym 3x/week for the last 2 years, now need to get more serious about healthy eating and release that last 20 pounds.
At 57 years old, I have no desire to traipse on the beach in a bikini, but would like to feel less bunchy in my middle and be painfree in my knees and feet!

Hi. I'm Judy. I would like to loose 5 pounds in the next 4 weeks but more would be appreciated and anything will be a blessing. I'm rapidly approaching my 70th birthday, a kidney transplant and possibly knee surgery. I have survived a heart attack and a stroke and feel fine so I plan to keep going through whatever is thrown my way. I hope nothing too physical is coming our way as my pain doctor and my orthopedist has me off all that. Personally I think that is a load of crap as I feel better when I do something and my balance is really going to h#$%$ and with the osteoporosis I really cant afford to fall. Well good luck to all!

Hi, I'm Barb from upstate NY. I am 65 years old and have battled weight issues all my life. I want to lose 42 lbs. to get to a healthy BMI number. I've tried all kinds of diets and am a lifetime member of Weight Watcher's, but this plan hasn't been enough motivation for me lately.

Hi there. I joined SP last year and then lost momentum 3/4 of the way through the year. This year I got my act together and joined SparkCoach. This has helped me get back on track. I am new to EBFF challenge and look forward to doing it!

Hi. I'm struggling with losing those last 10 lbs for good! I'm a runner, cyclist & gym rat and have the mistaken notion that I can exercise my way to my goal weight. It's not working!! So it's time (again) to measure and track my food. This might be easier if I wasn't a foodie.

I've noticed a strange phenomenon--several times I've had to reduce exercise to recover from injuries and those are the times my weight has dropped. I wasn't as hungry and didn't feel the need to eat as much to keep up my energy. I'd love to blame the weight gain on muscle, but the roll around my stomach is keeping me honest.

Great to meet everyone--let's do this!

I just rejoined spark in hopes of getting back on track with my health and weight. At 51 I worry about heart disease, diabetes and stroke as all run in my family gene pool. I am encouraged by many of the stories I have read in this and other forums and hope that my story will encourage others as well. Hi, I'm Scharlet. I have recently rejoined Spark as well. As I've gotten older I'm starting to have more issues with my health. I know these wouldn't be so hard on me if I lost some weight. I commute over an hour each way to work, so I am tired when I get home. It makes it hard to want to cook healthy and to get in my exercise. I'm hoping by doing this challenge I will not only get support and encouragement, but also ideas on how to prepare healthy food fast and quick ways to exercise.

I'm Ally, I've been on SP since June of 2012. I'm having a hard time with calorie restriction (translate: I love carbs!) and joined this challenge to get some new and creative/budget friendly ideas that avoid starvation! I work 50 hrs a week and I'm married to a med student, so the shopping, prep and cooking usually falls to me. Hubby loves veggies and eats very well so this should be great :) My goals include taking better care of my body by putting better fuel in it and exercising more. My weight loss goal is another 16 lbs by the end of May but its been slow and I'm not sure Ill make it there! Here's to trying!

My name is Stephanie and I've been a member of SparkPeople for 6 months and so far so good! I've lost 63 pounds.

I'm struggling a little this week with appetite vs. hunger. Also I really fight the emotional eating urge when dealing with boredom and anxiety. (I manage to avoid it for the most part, but it takes real effort.)

I do well staying in my calorie range and getting a decent amount of fruits and veggies. What I need to work on is reducing my sodium.

Hi! I'm Cheri and this is my first time with Spark People. I joined in Feb. of 2013 and I'm so glad I did! I am a type 2 diabetic and my primary goal is to make healthy food and exercise choices a lifestyle plan. My blood sugar levels were inching higher and I finally came to terms with the seriousness of my disease. So far I have lost 10 pounds and my FBS has dropped from the 170-180 range to between 120-130. One day it went as low as 111.

I love the support I get from SP and since I am retired I have the time to follow through with the trackers that are so helpful. I look forward to this challenge and learning how to incorporate more veggies into my food plan. emoticon

My name is Lynn and this is my second go round with Sparkpeople. The only difference this time is I am following through and staying on SP. I've lost 12 lbs since the beginning of January 2013 and seem to be stuck at that. Not quite sure what I'm doing wrong to not lose any more. Try to track my food intake, but that is hard at times. I use SparkCoach, so that is helping me to be more consistent....now if I can just sit down and organize/plan my meals. emoticon

I was sick for a about fifteen years of my life. Simply put, my body rejected most foods and I was very unhealthy as a result. Doctors recently figured out what my issues were and I became a normal person. After that long with major food restrictions... and then a free pass to have whatever I want... well, I went nutso and ate everything under the sun and signed up for a lifetime ice cream club membership to boot!

After gaining about 35 pounds in 6 months, I realized that I really was normal and needed to stop the food fest. So I started a journey to lose ten pounds, bringing me to a very healthy weight range, and to learn how to eat properly, like normal healthy people. And that's what brought me to Spark People and to this challenge. I'm here to learn and lose weight at the same time.

Hi! Today is my one year anniversary since beginning my new lifestyle changes. Since 3/14/12, I have lost 80lbs. I would like to lose 25 more so I am looking to 'tweak' what I eat and add more exercise. I signed up for a 180 mile, 3 day bike ride in June.

Hi folks! I'm Tamani from Philly. I've been with SP for a few years. I have a little more support now so taking this challenge is my birthday gift to myself. I have a few medical issues that I am dealing with but am overcoming them 1 by 1. I'm looking forward to taking this challenge and getting healthier.

emoticon I'm Janice.....From Florida.....and emoticon Since having cancer in 2011 I'm on disability and usually home most of the day. I have a very sweet hubby, but he loves to snack! He doesn't like veggies or fruit, so I'm usually the only one in house eating them. Need to try to eat more fiber & This challenge will help me do just that!! emoticon
