I can't say that I miss bread either. But often I just want something else to eat and that something else needs to be simple and easy for me. Can't thank you enough for sending me my goodies!!!!!

like i said..without the distinct taste of wheat flour and yeast, nothing is going to taste like real bread. the slicing bread? i used to make grilled cheese. it was good. but i dont miss any kind of bread at all..so i just dont. others..its what they miss most so a sub is fine for them.

Thanks for posting that - that looks easy good.

I made keto pumpkin loaf this past weekend. meh.. but at least I felt like I was having something interesting. I also made hubby regular pumpkin muffins.. I think he enjoyed those more.

this one works great for grilled cheese, etc. without yeast and wheat i dont think you will ever get true bread flavor. but with melted cheese i think it works. I just no longer even want bread, so i just dont bother.

Can you point me to the recipe. My efforts at Keto bread have been more like dry protein powder cakes ... sort of OK, but hardly bread-like.

can i add...there arent good carbs and bad carbs. a carb is a carb is a carb. Your body doesnt know the difference between the sugar in fruit and the sugar in the sugar bowl. That picture helped me immensely when i was horrified to find that i could no longer have my beloved fruit. When I was told that by a long time keto coach, it brought it into perspective..as we have always been told certain foods are "healthy" when they really arent.

The core idea is that sugar has no nutrients of any kind, just pure calories, so get your calories from other things, from things with nutrients that you body needs, like minerals, vitamins, essential fats ... things your body needs for its structure.

DMT that could be me!! My son and his then fiancee came for a visit in october of 2015. they started keto in jan 2016. i remember being very upset with them because it was so "unhealthy". then they came for the yearly visit in mid october..both down 70 pounds, glowing with health...and i had to try..and 8 months later i was down 132 pounds..glowing with health, off half my meds..

I just see it working for my daughter and now my son so I am giving it a go.
I hear them saying how much better they feel.
I see how much better they are in themselves.
They both say their mind is clearer and alert.
Both losing weight steadily.
Both seem happier.
They want me to be healthier too so I'm giving it a try.
