Hi and welcome. This is my second attempt at keto as I had a lot of trouble my first go-round but I've been on it for a week now and so far so good. Wish you the best of luck and you're definitely with a great team here.

I know Leanne Vogel on youtube (channel: The Keto Diet - Healthful Pursuit) speaks a lot about PCOS and keto. I don't have PCOS nor hormone issues and found her a bit pushy on products/supplements.

Go Keto with Casey is more my style (from youtube).

Find what works for you and stick with it. Welcome!

emoticon I'm new to this way of eating, too. Started 5/1/18. Don't know how much I've lost, yet, weigh in tomorrow. :) I'm doing this for the same reasons... prevention of various diseases, plus to correct a few health problems.

I have struggled with my weight for the last 15 years. At my highest I was 252. I have been diagnosed with PCOS and insulin resistance. I have been between 200 and 215 the last 5 years. I have been very loosely following keto the last 6 weeks and lost 12 lbs so far. I'm hoping this lifestyle helps keep me from ever becoming diabetic and get to a healthy weight.
I am going to start following more religiously on Monday when I get home from a weekend visiting my family for Mother's day.

SW: 241 2-25-2013
First Goal: 215 Lbs (Met Goal 8/1/2013)- Got down to 201 before I got married in November and had a bit of a "hiccup" in my weight loss.)
Second Goal: 196 Lbs (out of OBESITY BMI range)
Third Goal: 164 lbs (into NORMAL BMI range)


Ultimate goal is 150 lbs or so, but taking it one step at a time!
