sounds like you are finding your path.

Just a few thoughts on reading and re-reading this discussion. It takes a few days to get over the major jolt of cutting carbs. It takes a week to feel more energetic. It takes a few weeks to get the energy to have the energy to do heavy exercise.

Body chemistry in my mind does not change meal to meal, it is more like a seasonal change. In the fall of the year carbs slowly become less available. You have to give you body time to adjust.

If it is day 5 and you are down 5 pounds this is the very start of entering Ketosis. Just give it time. 2 weeks from now the clouds will clear. Sounds like you are determined though.

I agree with you on the salad dressings ... I certainly don't avoid fat based dressings, I avoid sweet ones like French dressing, or those with higher carbs, ... I just read labels and buy standard store ones like ranch or creamy Caesar.

So...update --- not like it's a huge one or anything but ... I kinda went off the wagon after trying for a week but I wasn't really trying.

This week - it's my 5th day, down 5lbs, not starving after eating salads with low fat crap dressing.
Made some keto lemonade for the flu. Been exercising just fine.
Figured some creative fat adding and decided not to worry so much about it.
Just keep things level.


ALSO --- eating when I'm HUNGRY. That seems to be more defined now?? Or it's helping reset that? I'm not sure but I love that!!!! Was offered extra snacks after dinner - nope, not hungry.
I got Leanne Vogel's book and it's pretty good.

As I read your energy level was low, I was about to write whst PIPPAMOUSE already wrote.

It is the cross over time to be an efficient fat burner (your own, or fat you est) that is the barrier. Give if time.

Welcome. It can be irritating to have low energy, but remember you body is reprogramming. It has been relying on carbs for energy for....well, most if not all of your life. You are now asking it to learn to burn fat for energy instead. It will take a few days. Right now you are in the throes of your body running out of carbs and it saying WHOA!! We are out of fuel. In about 2 days your body will have realized and converted. It wont be good at it, but it will get there.

i agree everything but protein is great...that should be 60 or under.
it helps to stay off the scale...when i'm not in a challenge i weigh once a month. every keto coach will show you graphs of weight going up and down and up and down. its normal...

Numbers look great, maybe protein just a little lower, closer to 60, but overall about right.

Day 2 is the hardest. Take salt for headaches, have some cheese ready if you feel weak. Don't worry about calories much. Get over the carb cut first.

It gets much easier in 2 more days.

I used some online tools and got these results:

Calories: 1812
FAT: 155
Carb: 20
Protein: 84

I gained weight but it's my 2nd day. Feeling the dizzy brain fog headachey stuff ... I am drinking tons of water.
