TABIKAT63,
welcome. Glad you are here.

I was about to say that I haven't lost that much weight, but now that I think about it I'm down about 50 pounds from my all time high, and that is no small amount either.

But I eat Keto mostly because it is better for my blood sugar.

James

Hi! I'm 59 and it has helped me immensely. I started in October of 2016 with a really bad attitude sure it wasnt going to help or work at all. I shortly found out how wrong i was. Now down 80 pounds from that day and just 33 pounds from my goal i'm a believer. My joints are better. I dont have the water retention i started with. I have energy...its wonderful!
Glad to have you with us!!

Great Share! It will be interesting to see how this diet helps you. I have noticed a huge improvement in joint pain and swelling as well as clearheadedness. Welcome to the group and good luck on your journey.

the wonderful advise and looking into others links, great information.

I'll try to keep this short. At 59 I quit smoking and became hypothyroid, we're talking huge water retention, foggy brain, depression and just about anything else that gland could throw at me.

Now 4 years later, my numbers are all perfect with the use of meds. What is off is the water retention, painful joints, lack of energy and a clear thinking head.

After reading about getting on a Ketos Diet, it makes sense to me that this is worth a try to get back to normal.

I want to walk without huffing and puffing, I don't want my grandsons embarrassed by the way I look and I just want to get healthy.
