That is great progress.

I don't understand how eating carbs can ever kill fat cells. Eating carbs should encourage them to fill up. Puzzling.

I've seen information that in mature adults fat cells do not divide and multiply, so they can only die. On the other hand I also find information that they are replaced. So it's not clear. Probably like eating Keto, you can find information that you need carbs, and information that carbs are not essential.

I'm open minded on fat cell death, however carb loading one day should fill up your glycogen and slow weight loss to just about zero for the next 2 days, and I'd expect about a one pound a week weight loss. You are clearly doing better than that. So I'm curious.

Hi NIGHTSKYSTAR! Carb Nite Solution is basically a ketogenic diet, but incorporates one evening a week where you DO eat carbs, and quite a bit of them. It raises your insulin, along with other fat-burning hormones. The insulin soon subsides, but the other hormones remain elevated for several days. It's supposed to prevent any plateaus or weight loss stalls, and it actually tricks your body into KILLING fat cells rather than just emptying them! The book is available in online format only, and is called The Carb Nite Solution. The author's last name is Kiefer.

Hey everyone! I've been following the Carb Nite Solution diet for about 7 weeks now. I've got a "personal trainer" helping me through, which has been absolutely amazing for my progress. (My trainer is a good friend of mine, so it's very cost effective. haha!) I've been eating 25 or less grams of carbs a day, doing weight training 2 to 3 times a week, and walking 3 or more times a week. I've lost 14 lbs and a couple inches since starting.
