I found a page (https://www.ruled.me/) that has a great outline of Keto, some really good information, and lots of recipes. We've had 5 or 6 of them and even my kids have eaten some of them (2.5 and 4 years). I try to make these a few times a week since I needed the help getting high enough fat. I'm getting a better feel for it. I track here on Spark, because I like getting "points" for doing it. I know, its kind of silly, but its working for me for now.

welcome!

welcome. I use the spark tracker though others are popular. i guess i really like the daily news feed here at spark ,it is motivating and keeps me focused . So may as well track here too. Congrats on weight loss! Sounds like good progress to me.

Not much into cooking recipes, but i do use a variety of spices! .i did make some keto pizza and found i ate too much...my eyes bigger than my stomach, but that did not stop me. So i tried the next night and same thing..gobble gobble gobble. lol.

So I think for me right now, chicken, pork, fish, beef and simple roasted vegetables are the way to go. Been ketoing about 2 months. Maybe later on I will have more will power or a different attitude toward pizza and other keto substitute foods like muffins and so on , heck even a block of cream cheese does not last a day...so i could not try making muffins and such. Anyway..welcome again.

Welcome.

In my opinion, if you want to loose weight, every pound of fat lost is s victory.

19.2 pounds down in about as many weeks is really very good. I hope this team provides some support and helps you on your path.

Hi. I lost a lot of weight back in the day when Atkins was new. Seems like a lifetime ago. Since then, I've had several children, gone through menopause and gotten older. All of which has made me realize that it is SO much harder to lose weight than it used to be. Not that I was ever skinny, but I'm now at my heaviest without being pregnant.

So, after much research, I've decided to go low carb again. I started May 13, 2017, and have lost 19.2 pounds so far. It doesn't seem like a lot to lose in four months, but I'm happy with it. It is more than I lost the whole two years I went through menopause while being on Weight Watchers and counting points.

I'm finding there are way more recipes with ingredients that are easily accessible this time around. Stores carry more products that are staples of a low carb diet, too, which helps.

I don't track with Sparkpeople as much as I used to as I've been experimenting with other trackers, but I love the community here at Sparkpeople and I just found that there are several Low Carb groups so I'm exploring and hoping to learn more to keep me on track here.

So, hi.
