Hi Sarah!! I started, way back before Keto, needing to lose a total of 163 pounds. by the time i started keto i needed to lose 110. and now? i need to lose 43. I started keto last october and expected it to fail just like everything else i've tried..and trust me, i've tried them all. I failed atkins bigtime..gained. gained on weight watchers. a couple things i lost on, but then i'd get hungry, have more than i should, gain, and quit.
Not so keto...i've stalled bigtime twice since last october..and had no desire to cheat or eat more. I just wait it out. The first stall was 3 months i didnt lose an ounce!! Hang in..you can do this!!!!

Hi Sarah :)

Those first few days, especially if it's your first time following a ketogenic nutritional plan, can be brutal.
Your body is like "what the hell are you doing restricting my #1 fuel source?"
thankfully though, those initial unpleasant side effects are temporary once our bodies figure up..."hey wait a minute..I got two other sources of fuel on board..I'm okay!!"

We CAN do this...slowly, but surely, and with a little determination. We got this!

My name is Sarah. Today is my 5th day on Keto! The first three days or so were hard due to stomach cramping and nausea but I'm feeling pretty good now despite a small headache. I've been surprised at how satisfied I feel throughout the day compared to the way I was eating before. I need to lose around 150-200 pounds. I've been so overweight for so long that I have no illusion of having a perfect body I just want to be the best me I can be (sounds super cliche lol). I look forward to meeting others and supporting each other on our journey towards a healthier life.
