The link posted just below is not a reputable site (it's a click bait site)... the pictures/text have been ripped off from other keto sites (Diet Doctor primarily), as well as other diet sites (promotes all sorts of diets), and the person who has posted just below my comment here is the person who has ripped them off (it's his click bait site)!!!

@JOSEPHN0703 I don't know what your angle is, but copyright infringement is an actionable offense, and I've reported your website to Dr. Andreas Enfeldt, the owner of Diet Doctor.

...and if you keep posting plagiarized information here on SparkPeople, I will report you to Spark Admin as well (and I did)!

UPDATE: The person who posted the clickbait site has had their post (and have themselves been) removed from this thread. If you see JOSEPHN0703 posting anywhere else report him to Spark Admin!

Dr. Jason Fung: "Holy consensus, Batman. With so many 'experts' from Michelle Obama to the USDA to virtually all of the medical professionals (including doctors and dieticians) agreeing that 'Eat Less, Move More' is the way to go, you might think that it is 100% unquestionably true. But here's a queer thought... if we all agree that we know the cure for obesity, and we've spent billions on educations and programs - why are we getting fatter? In other words, why does this 'cure' suck so bad?

Welcome Tania!

Right now the hardest part of switching to Keto is over, and that is the first 3 or so days. That is not to say that in the following weeks it doesn't take some strength at times, and preparation (like low carb snacks at the ready), but it does keep getting easier.

I'll have some links on how to calculate your macros later, but inevitably it works out to a minimum of about 60 grams of protein a day and about 70 grams of fat. Those are minimums.

You probably don't want yo exceed 100 grams of protein, and that is actually pretty hard to do if you don't consume protein powder.

Lastly a question of calories. After your hunger has evened out, then decide your calorie target per day. Around 1200 is a good number for weight loss without much depravation.

Hey everyone,
I figured I should probably start to engage a little more and hold myself accountable. My name is Tania, I'm 30 years old, have 2 kids (a 3 year old boy and a 6 month old girl), currently enjoying maternity leave but generally am a shift worker. I realized around Christmas that I weighed MORE then than I had while I was pregnant with my daughter - so let's just say that was a shock to me.
I used to do a lot of running but during pregnancy I got so sick (multitude of illnesses) that the running stopped, and then baby came and here we are now 6 months after she's born and I'm still not feeling 100% on the running board again.
Had an acquaintance introduce me into the Keto WOE and I was thoroughly intrigued. I spent a few days watching quite a few videos (Fathead, That Sugar Movie, etc.) and doing some reading. During that time, before officially starting Keto WOE, I made it a point to watch what I was eating and realized how much sugar was in everything - and clearly this is what caused my insane weight gain after my daughter was born. I officially started Keto on January 5th and although sometimes its hard, I'm enjoying it for the most part. I'll be honest though - I have had a few days of slips and I definitely know my body doesn't like it because I feel like utter garbage afterwards.
I am having a hard time finding what my accurate calorie intake should be, and then staying within it. There are still days that I feel extremely hungry, despite having a high fat intake for the day. I guess I'm still just figuring out what my macro's really should be.
Any suggestions for a formula to figure these out would be great!!!

Well... I think I'm done rambling... lol thanks for allowing me to be part of Team Keto!
