Sandra, those burlap shades are absolutely beautiful! Good job, I love them. I have been trying to think of an idea for three windows in my house that have an odd shape to them and this might just be the answer, although, I would have to incorporate my weird shape window into it somehow! Thanks for sharing.

I wanted to share a trash to treasure project. It incorporates burlap...something you generally think of for feed sacks and the like. And a little discount tag fabric from Jo-Ann's. With a few little bobs and bits from my craft room and scrapbook stash, I whipped these "roman shades" up for our kitchen re-do. You can read more about it on my blog, Bluebird Song Cottage.

Would love to hear your thoughts. Don't hesitate to comment on the actual blog as well. It's nice to get some company.

Thank you! I found some really cheap paint at Lowes and had to come up with a theme using the ugly colors...lol...pea green, light apple, and strange rust brown. The vines came to my mind because my entire home is earthy colors and I use rocks, leaves, etc. all through my home. I printed an ivy leaf and cut a stencil. Used it to paint the leaves. We had sheet rock leftover from building our home, so the entire project cost a little under $50.00! The ivy cutouts that are black have speakers behind them.

That is nice, unique. Did you do the painting of the design? I like it!

I figured instead of us placing all of our private photos on this team, we could just place a link to the photos on this forum!

You can link to SP blog, personal blog, or any other site that holds your photos!
