Hi, all.

I'm 49 for another month and a half (will be 48 when January rolls along - no way I'm not counting backwards when the alternative is 50!!!) and I'm loaded with problems that keep me at my (BMI-labeled) "obese" level: work stress, home stress, diabetes, high blood pressure, hypothyroidism, depression, bad back and knee, and other stuff I'm forgetting - oh, yeah, forgetfulness.

Trying to go from my 216 down to 180.

I know I'm not alone, so joining a community of like-minded and like-troubled people trying to live longer and better seems the way to go. If you do write, please don't get mad if I take a few days to respond: I seem to always be at work.

(BTW: My wife, Midge, is joining today as well - she's the greatest girl in the world so be nice to her!)
