So I just joined Sparkpeople or should I say rejoined I was a member on the site a couple years ago.

My name is Charity, I'm 32 years old and at my heaviest weight ever! (258lbs @ just 5 ft 6 inches) As a child growing up I had no weight problems at all but then I had my first child, I gained 76lbs with my first pregnancy :o

When my son was 3 I got pregnant again (I had lost probably 40lbs since his birth) I gained another 76lbs with my daughter. And really I've been going up since. I did have a period back when my daughter was a baby where I lost nearly 40lbs but I've steadily went up since.

I think depression was a huge culprit in my weight gain and the last year or 2 I've been struggling with it again. I work all summer (at a zoo) then when the season is over I let myself relax, afterall I worked my butt off all summer. But that turns into me sleeping all day which means drinking more soda to stay awake, then I stay up too late because of the caffeine. It's an awful cycle.

I really am tired of being unhappy with myself and my looks. My children and husband deserve much better. Heck I deserve better.

What I plan doing is a very slow pace, I want to lessen my soda consumption, go to bed by 11pm, not sleep my day away, blog daily, post to a group daily, I want to get active in my life again and I don't just mean exercise. I've been letting life just coast by, I need to become a part of life again.
