Welcome to Sparkpeople and welcome to the team. Congratulations on your surgery in January!!
I have read quite a few good books on Bariatric Surgey and they are for those before and after. I have even run across ones for the afterward maintenance. They are in regular book form, also in Kindle and Nook.
Plus, this Team plus the two other ones here in Sparkpeople have alot of good info from others as well. Great sites. emoticon emoticon emoticon

Hi everyone! I had a gastric sleeve on Jan 11, 2012 and am down 50 pounds so far. I walk at least 3 times a week and try to tread water for an full hour in the deep end of a pool once or twice a week. I love to swim but my knees don't like the kicking anymore. I also have a Wii Fit program at home but use it mostly for balance and some light aerobic exercises. I have to move everyday because I have Fibromyalgia.
I am looking forward to using Spark to help me reach my goals of fitness and healthy eating. Nice to have all the tracking in one place and the support from other members when I get stuck. Right now I am on a plateau weight wise but my clothes are falling off again so I will probably drop 5-10 pounds in the next couple of weeks. That's been my pattern - hold for 6 weeks then drop and hold for another 6 weeks. I have gone from a size 20 to a size 14 headed for 12 with a goal of size 8-10 and about 128 pounds.
I belong to a bariatric support group at my hospital but we only meet once a month and I prefer having a forum to talk about things more frequently.
Looking forward to talking with you all!
