Hello everyone! The exercise program I will be using is Jillian Micheal's Body Revolution for my work out program. My focus is eating unprocessed foods as much as possible. Although it is difficult for me to move, hopefully eating healthier will help me move better along with exercising.

Hi. My name is Janet. I'm trying to lose 30 pounds this year. I do great at exercising but terrible at eating right. This year I'm committed to doing it right. I did the day one cardio and day two legs. It was hard, but I made it through it. Plus I went to the gym for an hour. Ate good today. Now if I can just keep it up.

Good luck to everybody. This year will be our year.

Hello. My name is Dominique and I'm a full time college student, wife, and employee. I'm also a Pampered Chef Consultant and enjoy spending time with my husband and two fur babies (dogs- Chance and Buddy). My goal is to get down to a healthy weight before my sister's wedding in October. I'm also hoping to get pregnant soon and hope the weight loss will help! I've lost 20lbs since August 1st and I still have about 40lbs to lose, so we'll see how this goes!

You can do anything you want to do and be anything you want to be. As long as you put your mind to it, you can succeed!

Hi all! I'm a wife and mom of two in VA. I've been a student of health and fitness off and on for about 15 years. I've tried a couple diets in the past and they worked, but I had the yo-yo thing going on. So glad I found SP. I love it! I've been a member since October 2012 and I've lost 12lbs so far. It's going a little slower than I'd hoped but I'm also less restricted in what I can eat compared to other plans. Tis the month of challenges! I'm participating in four separate challenges with different spark teams right now but no worries. They have similar goals so I'll kill four birds with one stone and reap the rewards (and trophies) emoticon

Hi there! I'm Susy and I'm really excited about this new challenge! I have been a SP member for years now but got serious about it in September. I still have 26lbs to loose but am thrilled to have lost 14lbs already! I am trying to loose all the baby fat that I gained from having my first child. Thank you SP! emoticon

Hey. I'm Mindy and I live in Mississippi, US. This is my 1st challange. I have lost about 27lbs and 15 or so inches since I got serious and found SparkPeople - the trackers are amazing help. I have about 40 more to lose to make my goal.

Happy New Year to all! My name is Cris and I am excited to join another Sparkpeople challenge. I did a 5K challenge this summer and thoroughly enjoyed competing with myself! I had been regularly working at the Y and using sparkpeople up until late fall when my free time lessened significantly to help out a family member. It is now freed up again and it's time to get back on track!

Hi All, I'm Susan and am in Virginia.
I've been on SparkPeople for a couple of years now and am down over 100 lbs.

However, I always have a bit of a setback around the holidays and this year some illness and issues also waylaid me a bit, so thought I would join this challenge to get myself back on track..... only have about 20 lbs to go to get to my final goal! Best investment I've ever made....

Let's do this folks!

Hi, I am Deborah. I have lost about 60 lbs but gained about 10 back in the past few months. I am ready to get back on track but am currently fighting a cold so will have to let this run its course before jumping back in with both feet. Feeling a little frustrated, but it is a chance to practice patience; something I am not good at!

Hello, I'm Alana and I only just joined Sparkpeople today. I'm looking forward to loosing weight and getting to know other people who might be able to help me meet my goals. I found this group/challenge via one of the articles. I'm going to try my hardest to keep up with the fitness goals as much as possible. Due to a horrible Xbox Dance 4 accident (lol) I pulled the muscle that runs around my left ribs over Christmas. Talk about being out of shape. However, I'm going to do the best I can (or better) to get there.

Hi, I'm Sue. I will be starting the challenge today.

I lost 50 lbs in 2010 and had successfully kept it off until a year ago, my mom became very ill and passed away in just a short time. I had so many tasks I had to take care of on a daily basis, I found it hard to get in exercising. Then the emotional toll it took on me - I had a hard time for many months following. 20 lbs crept back.

So now I'm back to get this show on the road! I'll walk/run/hop down this road with all of you and may we all come out winners! Good luck to all of you!

Hi everyone:
This seems to be a good motivating team, so here I am, ready to go. I live in Mesa, Az and love it, my hubby and I are retired and loving it, but the pounds have added up, now I am living with the result and don't like it at all, so I need to do some good goal setting and make a good back up plan too, I need to be prepared. Good luck to us all, I want this trophy, but not as much as I want to be in good shape. Diane

I've been with SP since July 2011. I joined this group to reach my goal of getting back on track and losing my weight regain. I am excited to pick myself back up and take better care of myself.

I also need to lose around 35lbs so this sounds like just the trick to help me on all of the above! Looking forward to this new challenge to make 2013 an awesome year and the year I DON'T give up on me!

Hi, I'm Laddie. Even though I've been on spark people for years, I though this might be kinda fun. I'm retired and having fun every day. We take brisk walks at least 5 days a week, do deep water aerobics 3 times a week and except for Thanksgiving to New Years this year, I am vegetarian and my husband is a rebellious vegetarian. Though I am not at what they call my ideal weight, I am very healthy. But you can always do a little more. So I'm going to stick to this program through January.

Hi all, I am excited to be part of the Jump Start Fitness Challenge.
I work at home as an online professor and also as a adjunct instructor for College Algebra. I have three dogs and a supportive husband. We live in sunny Florida and enjoy dancing and long walks with our pets. The kids are grown and out of the house. I love to cook! Just had some nice veggies for lunch. ~Resa

I'm Pam. I would say I'm ready to make this year the year I lose my weight and get fit but I say that every year and the year just gets away from me. Good news is I'm at least 5 lbs less than I was last year at this time so the holidays didn't attack me this year. I just joined Sparkpeople and hoping to figure out how everything works together on here. So far most things are simple enough but I still feel like I'm in some sort of electronic maze. I joined this team because it sounds like a good challenge and easy enough for a beginner to follow. I hate to exercise so this will be a challenge. Maybe I can learn to love it by the end of it. All things are possible.

Hello! I've been steadily gaining for the last several years (with a few yo-yo dieting attempts thrown in there)Yesterday I was on track for day 2 of the challenge, ate well, did the video, went out for a brisk walk, slipped on some ice and ended up in the ER with a concussion! Upon checkout the Dr noted that I was obese! I'm feeling very motivated to not be labeled obese ever again! So once my headache is gone and I've had a day of rest, I'm going to get back to it!! (I'll be little more cautious on the ice though)

I am only one; but I am still one. I can not do everything, but I can do something. I will not refuse to do the something I can do.

Hi! I'm Laura. I joined mainly just to get my good habits re-energized and kicked back into gear. I'm really looking forward to not only completing this challenge, but continuing the good habits gained past January. I'm also shortly going to be doing a 30 day whole food challenge (I eat Paleo), this will help me more fine tune my eating, help my body reset and recover and help me really identify what foods do to my body and how they make me feel.

Hi I'M Chloe

I lost 3 stone but have gradually been putting on weight and have managed to put back on half of what I have lost. So I want to eat healthy and get down to my goal weight. I thought this challenge might give me a kick start... although having a really bad day today.

Hi I am Eboney and I see this as a way to keep my actively involved in keeping fit, vs doing it sporadically, as I am, prone to do. My goal is to stay on task and keep it up, beyond the 4 weeks.

Hi! Just saw this group in a SparkPeople email today, so thought I'd join up. I've been on SP for about 15 months now, have lost about 70 pounds (though a few got found over Christmas, but I'll lose them again!) and like the idea of an extra little jumpstart for the beginning of the year. I've put in 103 minutes so far this month, mostly cardio, but I did do a lot of core work this morning.

Boy, there are a lot of us hoping to win that Kindle! :) But, seriously, I've done other bootcamps here and they definitely work! Haven't done one in quire a while, and this seems like as good a time as any! I know I'll feel stronger and lose weight following the bootcamp, so, Good luck all.

Hi everyone!

I'm planning to start this challenge on Sunday (yes, one of my big motivations for doing this is that I really want to win the Kindle Fire emoticon ).

I lost 21lbs in 2012, despite slacking off at the end of the year (I was sick for a couple months straight, so I have a good excuse...stupid catching cold after cold cuz the Little Bug started day care...).

Anyway, I'm healthy again (finally!) and looking for a great start to 2013. I've got around 15 more pounds I want to lose this year to hopefully get rid of my extra padding. I'd love to gain some muscle while I'm at it, but right now I really want to lose the fat. I've set my goal end date for June, and then I'll work on maintaining/gaining more muscle.

I've done several of these challenges in the past and quite enjoyed them, so I'm looking forward to this one.

Hi everyone who is wanting to make a difference in their lives...well so am I. Thirteen years ago today I gave up smoking and unfortuately thirteen years later I have packed on the pounds. What better day to start my baby steps towards a healthier new me. With team work we can do this. I am so excited to begin my journey with each and everyone of you. May the best loser win!

Hi, I started a new eating plan on the 27th of August and since then have lost 30 lbs. I was doing really well at excersizing during the week by walking on the treadmill at work but found that I was really starting to slow down on the weight loss and frankly I was getting really bored. I think this challenge is just what I need to supplement the week day walks and keep me interested in being fit.
I have about 75 to 80 lbs more to lose so I need to find ways to keep my motivation and see a little loss every week. I did make it through the holidays with only a very small gain of 4 lbs but with all the cookies, candy and high calorie foods around I am proud of myself.
Love this challenge and think it is just what I need to kickstart a new year and continue the success I have been enjoying so far.
Happy New Year to you all and waiting to hear of your success's also.
Amy

Hello everyone! I've committed to exercising on a daily basis. I will be following the Leslie Sansone 2013 Walk a Mile a Day Challenge. Day 3 and I'm feeling stronger and more motivated than ever! 2013 is the year I get off the lose, gain, never maintain cycle!

Hello, I am 46, turning 47 in 13 days, and I got on here last year and have not been good at sticking with this. I am trying to better myself. During the summer I broke my arm and was in a cast for 3 months then had surgery with a plate and six screws in my right forearm. During that time I did lose about 20 - 30 pounds but need to lose more and tone more. I am hoping that this challenge will help me along with the encouragement of the team and family members. I am looking forward to doing this. I do have some issues with fibromyalgia, carpal tunnel, and tendinitis; however, I am trying not to let that stop me. Thank you for being there.

I had already decided to start a journey toward healthiness and then this challenge came across my desk. Soooo I'm planning to work out for 1 video and 30 minutes cardio a day, and track my meals. I live in Oklahoma and I am a homeschooling mom with 4 children. I too need the accountability this group will hopefully provide.
