Valerie, do your kids wake up around the same time each day? It worked out better for me to try to get up before they did and get my "me time" out of the way before the bosses got up. It didn't always work out that way, but more often than not I found myself with some time to spend on myself, and sometimes a little extra time, to boot! Just a thought.

Hi,yes I want to invest in portion control plates and serving spoons, yesterday I measured my rice and didn't have seconds,it's so hard! But I know not seeimg progress will be harder.unfortunatly I have to still rock my 1yr old to sleep or she doesn't nap. my 5 year isn't in pre-k sadly,I will try to see if working out at night will be better since daytime is too crazy lol. emoticon

Hey Valerie! I watched a video the other day that mentioned if you have smaller plates then portion control is easier. I also have young children aged 1, 4, 8, and 12. I know what you mean about it being hard to work out. I try to do what I can when my son (1) lays down for naps. My 4 year old is in pre-k so that is helpful. I try to get over to my moms to walk on her treadmill since it is so cold here. She is going to sell it to me but I think then I will have more problems since it will be here.

Well, originally, a few years ago I was way over your starting weight, then had 2 heart attacks and dropped 62 with about 40 more to go. Struggle struggle. then in 2011, my husband died and most of it started creeping back up again. Now I am struggling around 180/82 up and down once even got under but next week three pounds up again. How frustrating. It is a struggle I know but I can be here fror you if you are willing to be for me even though I am way older, a Gramma many times over but still trying to get slimmer to be easier on my heart. It takes a lot of dedication and a belief in a Higher Power in something that is higher than you or me. I call it God but you can call it whatever you want. It will not be easy, but it is possible. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Give to the world the best you have and the best will come back to you.

Hi everyone, my name is Valerie I am 28 /5'4/214lbs/mother of three 1,5, & 7.

I am working on losing 50-60 pounds I just recently restarted the program, after taking a break for a year or so after having a new baby, I previously lost 65lbs,I started at around 245lbs in 2010 and lowest weight before I was pregnant in 2014 was 181-182lbs.. and now I am hoping to to reach my goal Of 160lbs.

In the past I walked off the weight all at home! No gyms or gear, but now with a very clingy crying toddler lol,it's hard to get a moment to workout as I did,I have problem withortion control and will eat over what I need on top of snacking late at night.i counted calories but now am having a hard time due to nursing and not being as active.

I would love to find other people that are looking to lose the same amount of weight, or are also experiencing the same eating problems or maybe other moms who are going to the same thing.

Aside from losing weight I'm also very passionate about crafting/making things, reading, anime, video games and fashion design I also love the Gothic culture I live a goth lifestyle and enjoy spooky things and scary movies.
