HI! Welcome to SP!
I can try to tell you why this site is good!
There are great TOOLS to help you reach your goals such as exercise and food trackers.
There are AWESOME article to help you learn about a new healthy lifestyle.
There are Exercise videos and instructions to help you try new exercises and do it the right way.
There are YUMMY recipes to meet every diet.
It is all FREE of charge!
But that isn't the BEST part of Sparkpeople. The best part are the PEOPLE! Without the human element this site wouldn't be nearly as successful.

If there are any specific things I can help with please let me know! In general I would advise that you join some teams, make some friends and start SMALL. Make small easy goals for yourself add to them as you feel comfortable with the changes. You will get there! emoticon
