Spark people is a great website for support and encouragement. I too am a former weight watcher member among others things so I know about the weigh in thing. I am done with "diets" I have "dieted" up to 350lbs over the years. NOOO MORE! I am on a mission to change my lifestyle. It has seem to help in my thinking. "What can I do today to improve my lifestyle? Will this or that improve my life? If the answer is no then I don't do it. Period! I have started asking myself that question when I am "eyeing"something I want to eat or thinking about what excuse I can use to not be physical. Just this one question has seem to be helping. At least keeping me more aware. It sounds like you have some goals and plan of action, good for you. You are on your way.

Keep coming back and checking in.....stay connected...you can do it! emoticon

Does this FOOD or ACTION support my "Positive Lifestyle Change?" If the answer is NO, then it doesn't happen. PERIOD...NO EXCUES. "NO" answers promote problems not solutions!

Sounds like you have some good motivation for reaching your goals :o)
Getting rid of the frappachinos might be the one single habit you could change to make a big difference. I decided to give up cheese (My weakness !)

Hi! My name is Christy. I have many reasons for joining this site. First of all, I want to gain support without having to go to another meeting and stand on a scale. I would rather do that in the privacy of my own home - yes, I recently quit weight watchers. I want to get to know people dealing with some of my same struggles - eating too much sugar, getting back into exercise after being gone awhile, and struggling to conceive. I am only 20-25 pounds overweight, but my doctor says that losing weight could help with the infertility stuff. My biggest weaknesses, in regard to food, are ice cream and starbucks frappachino drinks! My cholesterol is high (220) and my triglcerides are high as well. I am still young and do not want to be put on medicine. I want to get this under control with my diet and exercise. Just needing encouragement. I do have a membership to a gym and time - I have no excuses for not working out. Time to do this!!!
