Hi Willing :)

I haven't homeschooled, but have had my grandfather living here, along with a highstress job and a long commute, and at times, it can all feel a little overwhelming, can't it?

Remind yourself, you can do this, you can do it just one step at a time, and continue on until it becomes a habit.

This team is for all folks joining the site this week. And while we'll all have some things in common, you can also consider joining more groups that might homeschool or have aging parents by querying at this link

Wishing you much success ahead emoticon

Hi! I homeschooled our son from grade 3 - 11. It is stressful starting a program but it gets easier after a couple of weeks if you can just persevere until then. Hang in there! It's worth it!

Hi there, I am a Christian homeschooling mom and business-owner. This is my time to do something great for myself. I have been watching myself fall into a bottomless pit of carb-overload and unfit living, and realize that I don't do anything else in my life even half as poorly as taking care of my well-being needs! I realize that my primary problem is that I don't value my well-being as much doing a good job for my clients, keeping up with the bills, taking care of my child, and keeping up with the house. Add to it that my parents and my hubby's parents are all now 70+ and are in need of constant care. I have needed a support forum just to hear that others are dealing with the same things and, despite the emotional ups and downs and the initial stress of starting a healthy program, they are succeeding. Thanks for reading this.
