Hi and Welcome!!
I agree that substituting a new habit for this current one of emotional eating can help.
It may also help to keep a journal or use the food tracker to begin to see what time of day is hardest for you to control. being aware of the problem is the biggest step toward changing your habits.

Emotional eating is a toughie but you CAN get past it. You just need to find new activities for dealing with those emotions OTHER than eating! Do you have a hobby you could get back into or a new one you might enjoy?

Best of Luck!

Hi I am a 33 yr old mother to 3 kids....I need to lose about 60pounds. I have lost some and had a few weeks where I was doing well but I am an emotional eater and its been getting the best of me. I decided to try sparkpeople for some support.
