Cloverrose I am so excited for you! I was a bit nervous when I went in for my surgery but I think it was more because I was worried about the pain. Well I basically didn't have any pain to speak of other than the stitches. They were tender. And the ones that bothered me were the inner thigh. I had no problem with the tummy or back. Good luck with your surgery!

I am scheduled for a tummy tuck on June 19th. I am planning on going back next summer for a thigh lift. I have to do it in stages due to money and time off from work, etc. I am super excited about the tummy tuck!

It has now been just over two months since my surgery and I feel great I think I look great and I am healing nicely. My goal was to get rid of the excess skin so when I look in the mirror in my workout clothes I see smooth lines. Goal accomplished! I would urge anyone that can afford the circumferential abdominoplasty to go for it. Unless there is a really good reason you can rest assure your insurance company will not pick up the bill. Even the pre-surgery blood work! I had a combination surgery the circumferential and inner thigh lift which cost just over $17,200. Fortunately for me I had some money that I inherited from my mother which paid for most of it.
I did run into a small problem with my right thigh that took a couple of extra weeks to baby so I didn't get back to working out until about 7 weeks. I was able to go walking but nothing over two miles. It interfered with the healing process.
Also, after you have this type of surgery it is highly recommended that you do not lose much more weight because when you do it creates air pockets which leaves you looking lumpy.
I guess thereby defeating the purpose of the surgery in the first place. Who knew! I am so satisfied with the results. I will try to have my sister take some pictures to post.

I went in for my first post-op visit with the Dr. this morning. He and his assistant seemed very pleased with how I am looking and especially feeling 4 days after surgery. He really looked amazed. I know my sister kept saying all along this week that everything looked really good. I did ask the Dr. if he thought there was something wrong with me that I wasn't really feeling much pain. He said that I was really in great shape for the surgery. All I could say was thank God I made the healthy lifestyle changes or I would never have been ready for this.
Doc said he removed just about 7 lbs of skin from my circumferential abdominoplasty and thigh lift. I have been kind of afraid to look in the mirror for fear of seeing all the staples but I did take a peek in the mirror while he was examining me while I was standing up and the body wrap was off. Wow! All that skin that was hanging from under my breasts is gone. Of course it was only a quick look see. But Becky said she thought I would be really pleased with how it turned out. I am very encouraged.
I will go see doc again on Tuesday around noon. He will remove the drains and may take some staples out. We will see!

I was asleep when he was talking with my sister. She said he told her it would be a very long recovery due primarily to the fact that I have very thin skin. I go in for my first post-op visit Friday. I had the surgery on Monday morning this is Wed. evening and I don't think I could ever have managed this on my own. My sister has been an angel helping me like she has. So hopefully I will have more info on Friday with regards to my recovery.
Thank you for the welcome. I didn't even know this team was here. Fortunately for me 4A-healthy-BMI suggested I check it out.

What does your doctor say about recovery time? I had a tummy tuck and am contemplating an inner thigh lift. And welcome to the team!

I just had a circumferential abdominoplasty and an inner thigh lift. All I can say is ouch! Of course my insurance didn't pick up anything but I think it will be worth it. Well, since my surgery was yesterday I really don't have anything else to add yet. Just thought I would introduce myself.
