Good luck Mzz Frog!

I look forward to hearing about your experience. I'm not quite to my goal weight, but I'm already looking forward to getting rid of my "apron."

Make sure you have a chair or couch that's easy to sit down and get up from. Wear that compression garment!

Congratulations on setting a date. emoticon

One thing I would suggest is to make food ahead of time and freeze it. Chances are you are not going to be in the mood to cook the first couple of weeks of recovery so having meals in the fridge and freezer ready to heat up makes life a lot easier. Also, a cane helps with getting around; a friend happened to have one and there were many a day I was glad I borrowed it.

I am addicted to diet soda. I know my bones will dissolve; that's why god gave me big ones.

I have a tentative date set for my plastic surgery. I'm planning to have a TT, TL and lipo in the hip area. I met with the PS on Friday. They sent me home with lots to read. I had already made my decision that as long as it could be done within my price range I would go forward but the PS wants his patients to thoroughly read the informed consent paperwork and have time to reconsider before setting up a surgery date. So I did my reading, discussed it with a few friends, and decided that this morning I was ready to make the call.

So my date will be March 6th unless there are conflicts with the hospital surgery schedule. I'm so excited about finally getting this taken care of. It has been over 10 years since my RNY and finally I can afford to take this step in my journey from morbid obesity.

As I prepare my home to be as post-op friendly as possible I'd love to hear any suggestions on what things I am likely to need and might not think of in advance.
