That's one reason for us to walk early. We get out and get it done so we have the rest of the day to do other stuff and the traffic is less. Issy, our team leader drives from Middleburg.

That time would make getting there from OP a little easier traffic wise. LOL My husband knows where it is and he said depending on where we stopped for breakfast would make it worthwhile to drive up there or not. No, he's not a sparkmember and lives to eat which is killing him with diabetes, heart stent and high blood pressure.

Although this week is out, I think I might be able to do the walk with you guys on Saturdays. Only one thing I need to know: What time do we get started? :-D

4 miles is a long walk, at least for me these days. I can manage a slow mile or so with the arthritic hips and spine but it would be nice to join others exercising and having fun. The next 2 weekends I will be out of state visiting with family in Nebraska since my mom was in the hospital with a mini stroke. Maybe I can check it out when I get back.

You have made the right choice by joining this site, also to check in with the Jax Team.
We can do one little change at the time to better our health and our eating habits that is going to benefit our children to also do better if they have a roll model to follow.
We have some members in the Northside, but we have a small group that walks every Saturday morning in the Westside. We meet at the Jax-Baldwin Trail off of Commonwealth just West of I-295. You are welcome to join us. (We walk 4 miles)
Keep in touch and share your successes and let us know if you need a little push at any time.

Hi everyone!

My name is Tanya. I'm over on the Northside of Jax. I grew up here, but have been all over due to hubby's career. I have 2 teenagers and a recently retired Navy husband.[But you probably figured that..lol] :-) My schedule is always changing, so I've had some trouble being consistent with my workouts & my eating habits. But, I'm ready to take control and change that. Look forward to making new friends.

Hey ya'll my name is Lori and I've lived here in Jax for about 7 years now. I moved from New Jersey and am so happy every single day that I made that choice. I don't know much about this group but am excited to be a member of it and get to know everyone.
