Congratulations again on the little one!
Sounds like you have a nice plan established and are doing things in a smart and healthy manner. It's good too that you are focusing on the fitness aspect of it too, instead of just the weight number. I have confidence that you can do it!

Never forget the 343 (NY's Bravest)!

Hi again, everyone. Now that I've had my baby, I'm starting over with this whole healthy living thing. I'm finding it to be a bit of a challenge because my little guy's schedule is still very erratic and it's hard to exercise. Thankfully it's warming up so I can take him out in the stroller (which usually lulls him to sleep), and I can of course get some walks in. I'm both scared and excited to start running again....the last run I did was short and slow at 12 weeks pregnant (which was back in September). Although I walked pretty much every day of my pregnancy, the last almost 4 weeks since having the baby I have not been doing very much physically. Now that I'm feeling pretty much recovered, I'm itching to get moving!

I'd also like to start tracking my food intake. I'm breastfeeding so I'm STARVING all the time. Of course I know I can eat more to compensate (they say 500 extra calories a day), I'm having a hard time making them as healthy as they should sweet tooth is getting the better of me!

I've already lost a good amount of the weight I gained....I'm only about 10 lbs away from my prepregnancy weight. But pre-pregnancy, I had much more muscle tone, and a MUCH smaller waist, so it's a loaded 10 lbs that I need to lose.

I plan to start slowly, walking until I get back to a speedy pace, then setting a 5K training schedule, then a 10K and I'd really love to be able to complete a half marathon around this time next year. A friend of mine with 15 month old just did a half yesterday and she started out in way worse shape than me, so if she can do it, I can do it!!!
