Welcome to the team! This is a wonderful group of people and they are so caring and helpful as you have already witnessed. I have lost 220 pounds over the last 2 years and I am almost to my goal weight. I am looking forward to having plastic surgery to remove my excess skin and fat so I will look my best. Keep plugging away at everything you are doing and I am sure you will start noticing a difference on the scale soon. It just takes some extra time sometimes. Good luck to you and if you need something, please don't hesitate to ask me or anyone else on the team. I look forward to getting to know you and following your journey!

Hugs, Lauri

Nonna - I know the temptation is there to not mark things down but I make myself do it anyway because I need to see exactly where to cut and how. You can do this - I know you can!

Nonna, you can get yourself one of the small pocket sized spirals to take with you and jot down what you have had so you will have it later when you journal?

THANK YOU for all the nice welcomes. I can see this team is awesome!

I am trying to track my food. I have such a time with this. I find it so easy to "forget" to add those things that will make me go over my limit. YES, I know this is a problem and I am only spiting myself. I am getting better though. One step at a time.

Hi. Welcome to the team. emoticon with what the other members have said. It is so very important to track your nutrition. I have reach my goal and have maintained my weight for two years now. I still track my food everyday. It is so easy to over eat if you don't keep track of what you are eating.

I love SparkPeople

2011NONNA ..... WELCOME to the team! emoticon

We call those NSV ( Non Scale Victories)! Yay for you! emoticon

I do have to agree with all my team mates on this, TRACKING is very important at least in the beginning. It's best to always track because you can get of track so very easy but that's your option. But be sure to not only track your foods but your exercise and water as well......

emoticon Nonna! I agree with the nutrition tracker advice. I record every mouth full of food and it was shocking when I did my baseline and saw how many calories I was consuming! Now I try to stay in the boundaries of what SP sets for me and I have dropped 60 pounds so far!

I agree with Carol. Portion control is very important as is tracking your nutrients. Keep pushing and you will get there!

My first advice would be to start tracking all food on the Nutrition Tracker. Exercise can't do the whole job! Call on us if you need some help!!!

I am new to the team and in absolute awe of Indygirl and her transformation! It sure does give me hope.

Since turning 50 it seems like the pounds just hop on when I walk by or look at food. I have been working hard and going to the gym consistently for about three months and guess what? NO CHANGE. Actually that's a lie. My clothes are looser but the scale is actually up a pound. I am sticking with it and adding much needed cardio.

I look forward to getting to know everyone and having you guys help me stay on track!!
