Welcome, Jackie!
I know you can do it. You've taken the hardest step and that's admitting the problem and coming on here and introducing yourself. Now you just have to eat right and avoiding those foods you shouldn't be having., We're all here for you and can make friends with whomever you choose to help you along the way in your journey. I have dopped 185 pounds or more in the last 20 months and still have about 70 to go, bet i'll get there when the time is right and my body is ready. Maybe we can do this journey together!

Hugs, Lauri

Always remember you are braver than you believe,
stronger than you seem,
smarter than you think,
and loved more than you know!

Hi Jackie. I could have written the 3 years ago. I co lead the Dealing with Depression team. If you haven't checked the team out, please do so. It is a very supportive non judgemental team..I just want you to know that your dreams can be realized because those were my dreams in 2011 and I am living them now. I cut myself off from everyone, saw my family 4 or 5 times a year, holidays you know. I have gone from 248 to 126 pounds and have kept it off for 19 months now. I am just starting to get more sociable and going out. If I can do it, anyone can do it. My Mom use to call me the queen of procrastination. I am still well known for being lazy, if I don't want to do something I won't.

I love SparkPeople

Today is the first day of the rest of my life.

I am responsible for my own happiness.

My name is Bonnie I live in CT ET

I went from 258 to 126 pounds and have maintained it since 12/28/12.

Too Blessed to be Stressed.

You've taken the first step. Team Indy Girl has taught me that everything is a possibility. The only handicap we have is our lack of believing in ourselves. You will find plenty of support here. Wishing you the best. Keep moving forward

I have been on sparks for a long time, well on and off, mostly off. but i thought i'd give it another go. so stumbling through pages and articles, i came across Indygirl's page. which led me here.
I have about 100 lbs to lose, my health is really poor, i'm tired all the time and i have clinical depression. In fact I've hidden myself away from the world for about a year now, so that the only people i see on a regular basis is my husband and daughter. so i have no real friends (which is something i did to myself) and no support outside hubby, daughter, and now hopefully Sparkspeople. emoticon Yes I know this is a hit the bottom hard luck story. But, (and here's the bright side), I've Had enough of not really living. I want to re join the Human Race and live again. emoticon
so that's me. Hello Everyone, I'm looking forward to making new Friends. emoticon
