Hello everyone! I have been in such a rut with my fitness routine and know it is necessary to rid myself of these unwanted pounds! I have been searching for something to look forward to and I think this is it! A day late, new to Spark, but ready for the challenge!

Hi! My name is Jo Ann from NJ. I joined the team to spur my tush into action! I have a new retro style swimsuit and I would like to fit it a little better. I have some pudge to lose around my middle so I think the challenge will keep me accountable.

Hi everyone

I am starting the challenge today, April 30, making me 1 day behind so I guess I will exercise twice as hard to catch up with the team.

I have tried almost everything to lose weight, including Positive Changes, and have yet to lose a pound, but a team will make me accountable and will be the answer for me.

So, let's get going.

Hi Team!

I've been on Spark for quite some time. Had to take a break due to getting pregnant, just when I was starting to see results. Son's almost 11 months old now, and I'm back in the swing of things, well on my way to my goal.

Been looking for some motivation to help me start exercising every day, and this bootcamp sounded fun (the drawing for the gift card doesn't hurt, either. :) ). I've tried a Spark bootcamp in the past, and wasn't able to stick with it. I think I can actually do it, this time.

Go team!

Hi All,

This should be fun! While I am already a regular daily exerciser--biker and gym regular for several years already--I'm recently trying to CHALLENGE myself more with more things that have seemed outside my comfort range or experience in some respect.

In February, I started using doing cardio dance DVDs. In March, I joined a dance class for the first time (Zumba). Now, this Spark Challenge (my first). I am sure I can use this to rethink habits and techniques...8-)

Although I'm a brunette, I'm also hoping that this Challenge will turn my my hair blonde, and that I'll soon want to wear a purple bikini and shades, just like our lovable Challenge mascot - LOL.

Go Team! emoticon

Hello everyone! This is my first official challenge and am looking forward to that the trophy at the end of it. I've become a bit of an exercise junky of late (to my daughter's great dismay!) but there are day where I just get lazy. I'm hoping this will be a huge motivation for those days!

Good luck everyone!

Hello. I joined Spark People yesterday and found this group today.

I'm currently renovating my house, so lately much of my stretching, bending, heavy lifting and moving has been in the form of packing up boxes of stuff and either taking it to storage, donating it, or just moving it to the next room. And on nice days like today, going for walks.

I'm hoping to get the motivation for some more "fitness minded" exercise, and thinking this challenge might help with that.

Hi!!
I have belonged to Spark People for the past two years or so. I want to jump start my fitness regime and get back on track, therefore I decided to join this team!!
I hope this will give me the motivation I need to start tracking what I'm eating and working out regularly!
I can't wait to get started!

Hello!!

I am Amanda and I've been using Sparkpeople for a couple of years now. I have bounced over to babyfit and back in that amount of time. My youngest is 20 weeks and I am looking to finally get to my goal before the chance of another comes up. I love the accountability that comes with these challenge groups! I'd like to be down 10lbs by June 1!

Hi:

My name is Nancy and this is Day 2 for me. I am 42 and 5'4" and want to loose at-least 30lbs. I did the second video and it was a bit challenging for me which shows me that i am out of shape and need to stick with this challenge. I am looking forward to seeing just how much weight i can loose on this monthly challenge and i am excited. I am sticking to my daily recommended calories and the only challenge for me is that i don't drink enough water so i need to really work on that. If any ladies lives in the western mass area (Holyoke, Chicopee, South Hadley) and would like to form a walking group please let me know as i would love a walking buddy. Good luck to everyone.

Liz here, hoping to quit using excuses to sabotage my well-being! Like many others here, depression and sickness have been challenges to me in my weight loss. This challenge seems like the perfect fit to keep me interested and help with focus.

Hi all,

I'm Joan and I'm trying to get back on track after getting a bit too relaxed about watching my food and beer intake and not going to the gym enough. My goal is to try to do the workout videos in the morning before work but I didn't do too well this morning...

Good Morning Everyone!
I've always been a depression eater. 2010 was the beginning of my down hill spiral. All the extra pounds added onto my 5'4" frame has become the anchor holding me into this abyss. I've tried multiple times to detach this anchor, but it's met with self sabotaging. The depression sinks into my soul as if an Anaconda has roped around me not letting me go.

What's changing ~ I can't stand looking in the mirror at ME! I'm going to be 54 in June and my mind is young. I miss Scuba Diving the most, I miss how a man used to look at me and I miss being comfortable in my Corvette when getting in and out. Spring is here and I'm ready to kill the depression and the Anaconda. Find me again and I pray this will work!

Thank you for listening and I hope known felt my description to be too depressing. emoticon

Hello. I am looking forward to this challenge. I want to get back in the habit of exercising and watching what I eat. I have done challenges before and seem to do well with them. Time is what has hindered me. I desperately need to make time for myself. Thanks for having me here.

Hello Everyone!

I'm Chris from Iowa. I am also stuck in a very bad (and deep) rut! I joined this team to jump-start my life--exercise, lifestyle change, and discipline!

I got up extra early this morning and did the video before getting ready for work. I still have some cardio to work on when I get home tonight! I plan to walk as the rain is supposedly leaving!

Good luck everyone! emoticon

Good morning, all! My name is Susan, I've completed about 3 months using SP to help me lose just about 15 pounds. I decided to give this challenge a try - I mean, who doesn't have 10 extra minutes? My start date was yesterday, 4/29, and I missed the cardio video (not a great way to start out, I know) but I did do several hours of heavy (and I mean HEAVY) cleaning. Today I plan to go back and do yesterday's video plus today's plus my regular Monday exercise. Looking forward to maybe a little faster success this month by using this challenge. Good luck, everyone!

One day at a time...

good morning everyone in bootcamp land. wel here i am...i promised myself i would do this and see it through. i look in the mirror and am unhappy and finally realized it has to start with me..and support from my friends will only help..right? :-)
i have jilliam michaels 30 day video so i will dust it off and actually do it.
i have a gym membership which i have been using..but i recently had a minor hip surgery and due to a mistake or fluke made in surgery i ended up with drop foot and numbness from my shin to my toes..it has been since mar 2, so almsot 8 weeks...so i am challanged..but i can do a workout with my cast..i will just modify what i can.
i wish everyone a great start to their day and together we can meet this goal.
