Hi all!

I'm Becka, I'm 39 (40 on 8th May) and live in the UK. I'm kind of embarrassed because when I weighed myself on Monday I weighed 17.5 stone (245lbs) which was what I weighed the last time I started a diet in Jan 2007 and by the end of 2008 I was down to 144lbs. Then I totally dropped the ball because I got depressed.

So here I am to again lose it once more and this time keep it off. This challenge looks like a good place to start since it conveniently starts Sunday - which hopefully gives me time to find my dumbells and buy a resistance band.

To be honest I don't think I can currently manage 30 minutes of cardio a day - I've been doing some ten minute videos (both sparkpeople and a fitness dvd I have) and I barely make it through them at the moment.

I shall endevour to do my best - maybe I'll be up to 30 mins by the end of the month.

ps the pic is from last time I lost all the weight.

Hi everyone! My name is Veronica and I have been on SP for almost two months. I have made a lot of changes in the way I eat but not very consistent with my exercise. This would explain why I have only lost 5 pounds. I thought that joining this challenge would help motivate me to boost up my exercise and if I am successful (my goal is to lose another 5 pounds minimum by the time this is over), then I will buy myself a foot pedaler to use when I am watching tv since I have very little time to walk outside with a full time job, graduate school and 5 kids. Here is to a successful challenge!

Greetings!
I started SP in March, and surely have much to do in accomplishing my goals. This bootcamp is a 'must do', and I have good hopes for fitness progress.
The local Doc at the Country Clinic diagnosed my right elbow as 'golpher's elbow', medial epicondylitis, so I will modify toning to what is allowed while my muscles/tendon heals.

Hi My name is Amy and I have been a memeber of sparkpeople for a while now. I have gone up and down in my weight but since January I have been eating healthy and exercising and lost 22 lbs so far. i also quit smoking more than 5 months ago now and I feel so much better! I am also in the process of starting my own housecleaning business. So i have alot on my plate but things are going well and I feel good!

Hey everyone! I did a bootcamp almost a year ago now (wow, was it that long ago) but I'm just getting back into fitness after a "break" that I regret highly... but the past is the past and I'm ready to go at it again! I'll probably just do similar strength exercises at the gym instead of at home (I'm not paying for nothin'!) but it'll be pretty much the same.

This is my second attempt at boot camp. I got a stress fracture a week in last time. I plan on being a little smarter this time around. Hello everyone! This is my second challenge of this type. The first one I did pretty well but didn't finish. I felt great when I was doing it! I'm joining to be more dedicated to my health; losing weight, becoming more fit, fight effects of osteoarthritis and general age related changes that I'm going through (I just turned 55). Ciao everyone, I'm Marie from Italy, more precisely from Sardinia, an island in the middle of the Mediterrenean sea.
I've been around for 2 years now and really need some motivation to keep going.
I run, walk and try to do my strength exercises 3 times a week but I'm not very continuous and my weight continues to swing between 171 and 163 without ever reaching my goal weight (154). That is so frustrating.......though I know it's my fault.
I hope this challenge will help me to be more constant with my exercises.
It's great to see how many people joined. Good luck to everyone.

Hi Everyone, I am joining this challenge to get up and moving.Ii have osteoporosis and need to get moving instead of taking meds. I look forward to this 4 week challenge to get me exercising on a daily basis. I have been walking everyday this week, and this morning I got up early and did the 10 minute kickboxing video (so uncoordinated) and half my strength training as a trail before Sundays start date.

Hi my name is Karla and I have been working to lose my weight for the past 9 months. I am down from 193 which was my heaviest but far from my goal of 145. In the past 3 months I have only lost 3 lbs and I am struggling. I walk/jog on my treadmill 5 days a week and eat a low fat diet. A friend recommended that I needed to change up my routine that my body may have adjusted to my routine and needed a change. I saw this challenge and I am hoping it will help me change things up and kick start my body back into weight loss mode. I have not used Sparkpeople in over a year so I am excited to get back on the site and get involved. emoticon
