Hello Holly! We're Happy to Have you!

You apparently have a great deal of talent ; writer, photographer, manager, and single Mom. Simply trying to put a schedule together for such a busy life would be overwhelming to me, but I have reached the "golden years" Both of our sons are grown and with children of their own to raise, and for Grandpa and Grandma to spoil. We have both retired so there are very few times when we "just have to be somewhere".

As a photographer, salesperson, Photography and Sales Training Manager, District Manager and Regional Manager in the professional studio business, I know how difficult it is to make a good living with your own studio. Less than 25 of the young photographers I hired and trained were able to successfully transition from corporate studio photography to Independent Owners of their own studio.

I just recalled why it would take me all day to plan such a hectic life. I AM a retired grandpa who, in my younger days, pretty much did what you are doing now. And now I don't have to.

If you should decide to focus your career on one thing, do it in the thing that gives you the most pleasure and feels the least like work. Doing what you love is probably one of the two or three most important things to do in your life.

Who is Fly Piggie and why the heck is she called that?

My real name is Holly. My pen name, Holly Elizabeth-Jean. Fly Piggie Photographywas my sudio name in Iowa. I have a flying pig tattoo on my shoulder. It is a great reminder that really, anything is possible.

I am 28, 50-70 pounds overweight. A laundromat manager and single mom.

I have always been a writer. Poetry and short stories are my chosen genres. I have a YA book published but I am on the fence if I want to continue with more. I thrive on short assignments.

I now live in Tulsa. I am working on many goals. I would like to buy a house and open a newborn studio. I want to also hire out as a proofreader. The one thing I love more than writing is reading.

Forgive any bad typing. I am on a tablet computer today that makes it difficult to really edit posts so I am typing away hoping it is all comprehensible.
