Exactly! Can't stand the thought of my bf looking at all the tight and toned bodies around me...I think I might stare more than he does! LOL... but still, it makes me feel like I'm just not good enough. I have been working on completely ignoring everyone else and trying to focus on me. Good luck at the gym :)

Hi Stephanie,
I can totally relate to feeling envy while at the gym emoticon I am 22 and am frustrated that I am already having to worry about weight. Going to the gym with my husband is horrible since I tend to compare myself to the other girls there and always end up feeling inadequate. I know it's not the right reaction to have, but I know it can also be hard to avoid. Hang in there though! I have decided to just put in my headphones at the gym to help me ignore all the people around me who I feel like are discouraging for me. We'll see how it goes...

Thank you for welcoming me to the group.
It is rough, I go to the gym w/ my boyfriend most days of the week but its like pulling teeth getting me there. Most the time I'm there I'm yawning like crazy trying not to fall asleep in between reps lol...We work out for about an hour and a half a day and I do nothing but maintain. I eat a cookie and gain 5 pounds. Ridiculous. Can't seem to beat whatever it is that's keeping me from losing anything.

Hi everyone, My name is Stephanie. I'm 23 and a deputy in west Florida so I work some long crazy hours at times. It is hard for me to stay motivated because I am always so tired. But I'm tired of letting that slow me down from achieving my goals. I have been working out for YEARS and have not lost any weight. Dieting is hard because of my schedule and cravings are tough for me to ignore. I'm looking forward to setting some goals and doing what I can to stay motivated and finally lose the weight I've been maintaining. I will be the maid of honor in my best friends wedding in January and really would love to lose 20 pounds and look gorgeous in the gown she picked out.
I have a gym membership and have been getting very emotional lately-I feel envy while I am there. Seeing fit and hot people around me while I have not been able to change has made me lose motivation and become a negative person while I am at the gym. I am trying to be more positive and focus on ME rather than everyone else around me.
