Pamela.....sorry that you don't have the best support system...that isn't very nice of your family. HOLD strong....show them...YOU CAN DO IT!!!

My hubby and I started the South Beach Plan...2 weeks ago..that eliminates the carbs for the first 2 weeks....then slowly brings the HEALTHY ones back into the meal plans.....it really has helped us. We both have lost weight so far with it.....don't know if this will help you or not.

Hi, I'm Pam, 47yo, and live in California. I am trying very hard to eliminate sugar (and most carbs) from my diet and am having a very rough time of it. I've done it successfully in the past and felt so much better and lost a bit of weight by doing it, but when I started adding carbs back in I totally went off the wagon and started inhaling sugar again at every opportunity. It is like an addiction for me and I am finding that I really need some help with this. I can't just eat sugar in moderation. It doesn't work that way for me. Even a little bit sets me off and I can't stop. Additionally, I have a husband and MIL who are really unsupportive of my effort and actually try to sabotage me for some reason, which makes it doubly hard. If anyone has a similar reaction to sugar and has any tips or tricks, please share them. I really need help with this. Thank you!!
