That's what they said at the insurance company I worked at, about the 15lbs. I think most of it was from stress eating!

I have also found success with low carb/high protein diets. Right now I'm training for two new jobs from home and juggling kid's activies and home life and finding it even hard to get to the grocery store. I have to replace the sugary snacks with some healthy snacks.

Hey Jennifer.....I totally understand working in an enviroment WHERE food/goodies/junk are available 24/7. In our doctors' office...is a joke....for everyone new person that starts we guarantee them they will gain 15lbs!! I had to keep my strong will power and motivation...so that didn't happen to me...3yrs ago. I was already on the healthy journey AND was determined NO ONE was going to undermine my progress!!!

My hubby and I are on the South Beach plan.....his doctor requested him to be on low carb/high protein. It has been beneficial to me too. Getting the sugar cravings gone....I feel much better!!!

Good luck

Hi, I'm Jennifer.

I live in Peoria with my husband of 12 years. I have three children, a 20 year old daughter who lives out of the home, a 16 year old son at home and a 10 year old daughter at home. We also have two dogs, a Chihuahua named Drake that's about 2 years old and Indy a mixed breed who's about 9 years old.

In January 2011 I was a size 8, excellent size for my 5'8" medium frame. I weighed around 148lbs. I started a new job outside the home (normally I telecommute). There were many "food pushers" bringing doughnuts and all sorts of sweets to the office. After many times of taking a doughnut as to not be the "one who isn't with the team", I started having sugar cravings. I had broken a sugar addiction a few years before and maintained a healthy weight before this. And I DON'T EVEN LIKE DOUGHNUTS!!! I still don't. But I do LOVE cookies!

I am here to once again break the sugar addiction, sugar cravings and get back to working out and eating right. I also had to quit that wonderful job because of scoliosis in my back and stenosis in my neck that made it impossible to work in that stressful environment sitting at a desk all day. So I am back working from home part time doing call center and administrative work. I also need to find a better job!

I hope to get some great ideas for healthy snacks and form a meal plan that will work for ME and fit in a tight budget. I am using the Wii Fit for working out.
