Tahlia, I am new to this site and don't have much to offer as far as weightloss goes. However, I have been in a place where depression took over my life. I have been told that depression can be linked to poor dieting. But, as someone who has been there I just wanted to tell you that you will not find meaning in the size of your body. The way to find meaning in your life is by developing a personal relationship with Jesus. I don't want to sound like a Bible pusher, but He is the way to freedom. When you set your main goal to develop a real and true relationship with God and keep focused all of the other things in life seem like water under the bridge. Nothing else "really" matters. I hope this helps and I pray you will find the meaning you are looking for. Best of luck.

Hi Tahlia!! Welcome to Sparkpeople. Your worries and concerns really hit home for me, I completely understand where you are coming from. Make sure you embrace this site's culture and philosophy.

Remember that no one gained their weight overnight, so don't expect to lose it so quickly. My mantra when I began with this site was "one step". Whether I was working out or eating a healthy snack instead of a unhealthy one. "One Step" helped me get over the mental. Hurdles, because te tiny victories add up to huge wins.

You can do this chica!! We are ALL here to support and help you.

Hi all, my name is Tahlia and I will be turning 31 this weekend. I don't want to be a failure anymore. I am anxious and afraid all of the time and this has made me feel like I cannot finish anything and that I don't deserve to either. I don't want to spend another 31 years feeling this way. I really want to have a life that I can be proud of - a life that I would be proud to share with others. I bury myself in my career so that I don't have to have a full and whole life, and I don't want to be that way anymore. I want to be someone who succeeds, instead of someone who just gives up. I don't want to be a quitter anymore and I need help to do it. I want to be connected. I want to live instead of just existing. I want to be the lead actress in my life.
