I just posted a blog with my before/afters from Ripped in 30. The differences that are actually noticeable to me are a slightly flatter stomach, and larger biceps. It helps that I also lost ~4 lbs to get to my goal weight, so you can kinda see the muscles.

I am new to this team. My name is Bettie. I told my librarian that I was thinking of ordering this DVD. She suggested I take out a couple of DVDs and see which one is best for me. I have taken a look at Ripped In 30 and know I will be ordering this one. emoticon

emoticon I've had Ripped in 30 for about a year, but only did the exercises sporadically. In fact, I think I've only ever done week 1, over and over and over again. This time I want to get through all 4 weeks. I've done 3 or 4 days so far of Week 1. I'm going to do 3 more days of week 1 and then move onto week 2. Looking forward to going on this journey with the team.

Hi everyone!
I listened to Jillian's podcast not long ago and see mentioned Ripped in 30 as an "up-to-date" version of the 30 Day Shred.

Good morning, I just used the DVD for the first time today. It wasn't as bad as I was afraid it would be. I'll decide by then end of the week if I want to stay on week one for another week or move on up to week two. I liked this a LOT more than 30 day shred.

Completed week 1 day 1 this morning and I was pouring sweat!

My biggest challenge during these next 30 days is going to be my eating. I've been so hungry lately and a few days I just threw my hands up and ate whatever/whenever I wanted! My goal is to stay within my calories everyday this week, and start the ripped in 30 meal plan next week. I just have to keep telling myself I can do anything for 30 days, and my "hunger" is all emotional.

Has anyone done the meal plan with the DVD and seen results? I'm super excited for the next 30 days!

~Noticing Changes~
Today I put on a pair of pants that I hadn't worn since last weekend and they fit better already. Muffin top gone from these pants and my shirts are looser in my shoulders and chest. Also noticed a huge difference drinking more water. My skin is more radiant and toned. Love this feeling. Week 2, day 7 ~ down 9 pounds.

Week 2 ~ Day 5
Doing good! Last week JM Ripped level 1 x4 days, diet was clean. This week JM Ripped Level 2 x 4 days so far and diet really tight. Salads, Vi Shakes, fruit, Vita Green & Earth Tea, LOTS of water. No snacking, which I am really proud of. Lost 8lb last week and next weigh in will be Monday 5/6 ~ Goal is 180 to keep me on track.

**5k beginners running program I wanted to start Monday of this week didn't work out due to now babysitting my baby niece during the day, 7 months old. I need to scout out garage sales for jogging strollers this weekend. This is an obstacle that I can let stop my running program but I am instead using it as an opportunity and a hurdle to jump over. I am going to do what I did when my daughter was small and take my niece with me. It will get her outdoors which is good to. My dog was going to be my running buddy everyday to get his exercise, but I may need to get up a little early and take him on a morning walk the days he can't run with me when I have my niece. A dog and a jogging stroller will for sure knock over this hurdle when combined. Separate, they give me an extra morning walk and a little extra resistance on my run. I am excited for Monday!

Day 1 4/22 ~ wt 190
Day 3 4/24 ~ wt 184
Day 8 4/29 ~ wt 182

Day 30 5/21 ~ Goal wt 180

I did Ripped in 30 L1 yesterday. Been a while since I did any of the RIP30 workouts, so it was fun. I burned 300 calories in only 35 min. Not too shabby!

Hi! I'm on Day 2 of Week 1 as a half-marathoner. Like FeetHead, I think, I've stuck within my comfort zone of running and I see absolutely no more body transformation from it so now I'm doing 30DS and possibly starting Body Revolution to tone/change my physique..become stronger.

I find I excel at her cardio and very week in push-ups and ab work. (core!) Which means I'm doing what I need to be doing.

Glad I found this page and hopefully we can make it more lively!

I don't see much activity on this page, but I'm hoping there are others (like me) who are just starting RI30. I did W1,D1 this morning. So far it seems much easier than 30 Day Shred. Knowing Jillian's style, I'll probably eat those words before it's over!

Hi,
I'm on week 3 because I did week1 for 2 weeks. Wasn't a fan of week 2, too many of the moves were too hard for my current weight and abysmal upper body strength.

Week 1 Day 3 for me. Was sore after first day of workout but now not as much. Wanted something to supplement my running as I favor cardio over strength. emoticon

Hi! I've had this DVD along with some others for awhile but haven't completed them. I started this Wednesday and am trying to motivate myself for day three. I'm sore from yesterday but that's good I guess. I love that it's only 30 min rather the hour + for p90x that I only did for a week because it was so time consuming. I don't need to lose weight just tone although I wouldn't mind going from 119 to 115. I'd love some motivation from others that are doing the same workout DVD or any from JM. I do want to do 6w6p and killer buns and thighs and on my days off yoga meltdown. Now let's see if I can stick with this! Good luck to all of you!

Hey, everyone.

My name is Amber, and I'm on Level 3, Day 2. I am definitely enjoying the results of this workout, but not so much the actual process. Level 3 is a big jump up with regards to intensity. Those who haven't made it there, yet, you're in for a treat.

I never experience a whole lot of weight loss, as I'm always doing SOME sort of workout regularly. I have noticed my body is tightening up quite a bit since I started this workout, though, which is a welcomed result. Good luck to everyone who is doing this. If ya stick with it, you're sure to get some great things out of it. :-)

Hi everyone, my name is Kim and I am on week 2 of this DVD. Loving it so far. I dropped 4lbs in the first week and my energy level is increasing. That's important especially with having an almost 2 year old and an 8 week old infant.

Hi everyone. I'm Clarisa and I just bought the DVD yesterday. I had ordered some new workout videos online and they apparently got lost in the mail. When I went to buy groceries, I decided I just couldn't wait for a new order to be delivered, so I picked up the Ripped in 30 video. I expected it to be tough, but didn't think I would be quite so wimpy! I dread trying to get out of bed in the morning!

Why hello there! I just bought the dvd and watched the first week exercise. Looks pretty similar to shred, which I did in May. I noticed that this is actually longer (about a few seconds shy of 35 minutes) than shred. Does anyone else follow the meal plan? I think this week I'll stick to my own meals and then look into her's next week. Shred was pretty successful for me, so I'm anticipating big changes. Especially since the modified versions are'nt really that modified.

So I've completed 4 days of week 1 and find that my muscles are sorer after spending half an hour in the pool than I am with her workout (I have ankle cuffs and dumbbells, etc that I use in the pool and do targeted exercises just in water). Don't get me wrong, I sweat, but I did my aqua exercises last Saturday and could barely move until Monday when I did my first day of the Ripped in 30. I am returning to exercise after having been away for a while due to surgery and severe pain (pushing through arthritis) so as a general norm I am used to working out (as far as the last few years anyway as I lost 120 lbs) so I am wondering whether I get more out of my workouts in the pool and this is a waste of my time as far as opportunity cost. Any thoughts, comments from anyone who has compared this to other forms of exercise?

Thanks!!

Hi! I've been a Jillian fan for a few years and completed the 30 day shred a while back. I need some major but kicking as motivation, and the 30 minute workouts fit my busy work and study schedule. I'm committing to the program for this month to get back into shape.

I am such a fan of Jillian. I am so excited to complete this DVD! I have had 30 Day Shred for about 3 years, and have been doing it on and off, and bought RI30 to mix up my workouts a little bit. A couple of days ago, though, I decided to try to just do the whole thing like it's supposed to be done.
As of today I'm on Week 1 Day 4. I definitely find it challenging, mostly the cardio kills me, I find I have to stop and rest part way through the cardio sets almost every time. Hoping my stamina will increase over time, I'm sure it will. :-)

Hello Everyone! I have had RI30 for a while now and just pulled it off the shelf. My plan is to do it on my C25K off days so I will be doing RI30 one day and C25K the other day with 1 day off a week. I'm hoping to see good results with this plan.

1st 5k on 4/28/12
Completed c25k program 5/26/12

Hi! I have had Ripped in 30 since it first came out, and I've never done it consistently enough to move on to the other weeks. I plan to do the DVD on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, alongside other activities I'm doing. I hope this board is more active than the Bob Harper board!

Hi All, I'm starting the RI30 DVD tonight. I'm going to Vegas with my hubby in April. I'd love to be in the best shape of my life by then. It's 10 weeks away. I'm going to try and do this every day for 4 weeks and follow the food program with slight changes, as we have a one and three year old that are sometimes picky eaters. I'm excited for the results! Lets do this!

Hey, everyone! I've just finished week 1 on Jillian Michaels Ripped in 30, and I wasn't using Spark People, but I decided to get back to it for a little extra motivation. I lost about 40 something pounds on my own, but I thought I might need some help from Jillian Michaels, so I bought her Ripped in 30 DVD. I've never relied on a DVD for fitness before, but I'm REALLY loving the results so far, and it's only been a week! I can't wait to see how my body is going to look and feel by week 4. I'll keep you all updated on my progress, and I would love to hear from you as well! :)

Urgh I've had the DVD for over 2 months now and I can't do it everyday and I don't pass week one. I so lose motivation and focus to work out :-) I just don't know what to do anymore. I hate how my body skin is hanging a little and I know that this DVD can help tighten but the drive... let's just say my car battery needs a jump.

Hello! I just joined this group today. I am on day 3 of week 2. I have lost 5 lbs since I started on January 4. I really curse JM while I'm working out, but I know she gets results. I have about 25 lbs I still want to lose. I have lost 58 so far. I was at 64 lbs lost but I got off track in October until after holidays. Now I'm committing to JM and getting myself back on the right path.
