You will get to be in the 160's if you stay the course and sounds like you will do just that.

Welcome to our group gbell11....good for you for not giving into those candies...those cravings will be leaving shortly and you can even have them on your desk and not want them...but don't do that and tempt fate lol.
The diet is basically very easy to follow and you have to be 100% compliant in c1 for it to do all the good things it is supposed to for you....that is detoxing all that crap that you have spent all this time putting into your body. Once the detox is over, the cravings should leave and you really shouldn't go hungry on this cycle.
Remember to drink you hot lemon water in the morning and to eat lots of protein and cleansing veggies along with your 2 pro-biotic foods each day and your 2 fruits before 2pm.
If you follow these rules you will be well on your way to a happy healthy body and enjoying all of the cycles of the 17DD.

I don't know if you found the topic of those starting (or restarting) cycle 1 this week. I am one of those. This board is great because you can create your own topic or jump in on ones that interest you. I'll try and go put the link into an edit of this post.

I have not mastered the green tea either, but I am going to try again this cycle.

This diet really does get easier with practice and the benefits are monumental.

hey all
i'm new too on this 17 day diet.
i'm on day 3 and trying hard to stick to it.
I even went to bulk barn last night and just looked at all the delicious sugary candies. However, i was glad i was there with my mom and sister so i didn't go off course.
i think i'm going to steer clear of there for the next 15 days though!

I don't drink Green Tea either, I have tried it and don't like it. I do drink Chai tea in the evening, but it doesn't count towards my water, it just makes me feel good and I drink it black, so I don't have to bother with the sweetener or anything else in it.

As for the splenda, I agree with Gabby. Don't use it. If you have to use a sweetener, I would suggest either Xylitol or Agave..although Agave isn't recommended for cycle 1. Not sure why as it is a natural sweetener, no chemicals and even though it has a few more calories, we aren't counting those anyhow. I like the taste of it.

You will (as Gabby said) get lots of support here. So hang in there and enjoy the ride, it will be the best one of your life.

Tanya... I can't drink the green tea at all -- it makes me physically ill, too! I've done pretty good on this plan without the tea (down 8 lbs). I've still had my usual coffee, but definitely push the water. And never skip the morning hot lemon water. You'll do fine without the tea! --Julie

emoticon You'll find a lot of support here to help you lose those 50 pounds. This is a great team.
First of all, quit using Splenda! Secondly, you don't have to drink the green tea. All that's required is the FRESH lemon juice in hot water in the morning and the rest of the plain water throughout the day.

Hi everyone,

My name is Tanya and I just started this diet today after seeing my friend and her mother lose 20lbs on cycle one. I'm hoping to lose about 50lbs. I do have a question. Did any of you have any stomach issues with the diet? My problem seems to be with the green tea. I couldn't stomach it so added a little splenda and drank about half a cup and vomited it up. Is this normal? Will my body adjust to drinking it or do I need to stop? By the way, I'm 35 years old and never drink coffee or tea.
