I'm not a 50+ guy or gal. But my mom and aunt are!

My mom lost 25 lbs and kept it up over the last year and a half. She's 65 now and in the best shape of her life. She started hiking and doing workout videos and has kept that up. I'm very proud of her. She and my aunt joined weight watchers and that's how they've lost the weight but they've kept it off on their own.

My aunt is 75 and has lost about the same as my mom. They don't live near each other and they have very different lifestyles. Where my mom became an outdoors(wo)man, my aunt mostly walked her neighborhood or played the Wii she bought for exercise. It has worked for her!

I hope it wasn't out of place to share their stories with you. :) Best of wishes to you in your weight loss endeavor!

I'm about to turn 74 in about 9 weeks. As of March 3 my friendly family doctor informed me that it was time for me to lose 25 to 30 pounds, I joined, actually re-joined the gym on March 5 weighing 188.5 lbs @ 5'8"...
Unfortunately my main hobby is rather sedate. I am an amateur radio station owner/operator and spend much time on my tuchas talking with my keyboard to other "ham" all over the world.

My first goal is 22 pounds in about 4 months. I've cut caloric intake from over 2400 to 1800 and am so far burning up about 300 a day at the gym. I'd love to hear from 50+ guys and gals who are or have successfully made the lifestyle changes needed to succeed
